Re: MakeMKV does not proceed beyond downloading SDF
Does it get stuck when there's a disc in the drive, or no disc in the drive? Both with and without a disc in the drive. Also as a sanity check, see if the SDF was correctly downloaded. Does the sha1 hash match up when you run the command below? Yes, it matches. user@host:~$ tar xf ~/.MakeMKV/_priva...

Re: "noscan" Still Scans All Drives
So basically when ripping a bad Bluray, the procedure I found on this forum - which does work, I've used it many times - is to use either the GUI or the command line to start an unencrypted backup of the disc, and interrupt it when it starts ripping the larger m2ts files. By this point MakeMKV has r...

"noscan" Still Scans All Drives
I am using MakeMKV + ddrescue to rescue a bunch of bad Bluray and DVD discs, and I am trying to setup a shell script to help automate this process. I'm using MakeMKV 1.17.8 on Linux Mint 22. The first step is generally to "bless" the drive after a new disc is inserted, and for this I would...

Re: Pioneer BDR-212DBK vs BDR-212V
Hi @Coopervid, I also have both a 212DBK and a 212V. If possible I'd like the option to be able to cross flash between the UHD-capable firmware and the DBK and V firmware. Is it possible to dump the original firmware from the drive for re-upload later? Drive Information OS device name: /dev/sr1 Curr...

Jamless Play
Looking to buy a new Bluray drive and thinking of the ASUS BW-16D1HT - does anyone know if this is one of the LG-made drives that has the accursed jamless play "feature" that makes bad rips? I don't see it listed in the specs but I want to be very sure. On a related note, does anyone know ...

Re: Open DVD manually and setting titles by numbers only shows first title in results
This is happening for me as well. Except it seems like only the first character of the string is used. I have a DVD where the correct titles are 39 and 2. So I entered 39: 2: as the string to open, and it tries to open title 3.

Re: Cannot Open DVD Files Manually
Just to update - I upgraded to MakeMKV 1.12.0 and I am still seeing the exact same issue.

Cannot Open DVD Files Manually
Hello, I'm running MakeMKV 1.10.10 on Linux Mint 18.3. I have an ISO file that I want to open, so I start MakeMKV up as usual and then select Open DVD Files Manually from the File menu. Immediately upon doing so, the program freezes. The freeze lasts for 30 seconds, and then a small window pops up t...
