I found another version in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu that I had to remove. Apparently that came from a "snap" makemkv install.

Actually the easiest way to determine a) whether you have the "sg" driver loaded AND which sg device corresponds to your optical drive is to use the lsscsi command with the "-g" option: root@media-srv:/export/src/makemkv# lsscsi -g [0:0:0:0] disk ATA ST1000LM024 HN-M 2AR1 /dev/sd...
