Re: Audio stream names is always "Undefined" at playback
Hi gyus, Now we understand the problem. Dvd uses 2-digits codes and this is how we put it in the mkv file. That is the problem. We'll do something about it, thank you for your help! BTW VLC shows everything fine. Mike, hope you meant "girls and guys" :D But if this helps fixing the error ...

Mike,
didn't find any log file on hd, so here's the new screener.
Sabine
P.S.: Forgot to mention that ripping the dvd with DVD Decrypter works fine and the disc remains playable. MakeMKVing the ripped disc produces the same error...

Re: DVD (multi angle) > MKV (multi angle) !?
Mike, as I read in the Matroska forum it supports cues for video tracks in the specifications - I did no verification so far. This would be a way to support multi angle without blowing up the mkvs too much as like on the dvds double parts would be reused. This would also be an outstanding new featur...

Mike,
as Pierre and tyborg said, this happened to all my dvd rips, too. Do you set the track language according to the ISO 639-2 with 3 characters? This seems to be the way mkvtoolnix or the Matroska Shell Extension do it.

Re: fatal error
Mike, it's a kid stuff dvd as almost all I'm testing with atm. This one is the german dvd Papyrus - Wie alles begann (http://www.amazon.de/Papyrus/dp/B00005N96Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1233687468&sr=1-2). I found the check box for the debug log in the prefs, but does MakeMKV save th...

fatal error
Hi,
found one dvd which lets MakeDVD crash. Maybe the screen shot helps a bit. I'm just about to test ripping with DVD Decrypter. Will post the result after coming home from work.

support for DVD Video
Once again: Hi
I own some so called DVD Video with one video and some audio tracks where only a still picture is shown while playing them. These audio tracks are hidden in the menu structure so they are unreachable for MakeMKV atm. Do you have any plans to support ripping them, too?

all subtitles are the same language
Hi,
just stumbled over a dvd where ripping produces 7x the same subtitle. The subtitle ripped is the first on the disc and it's then inserted for the other 6 languages, too.
I tested SubRip on the subs and this tool does a perfect job on them so it has to be a problem of MakeMKV, I suppose.

Re: Audio stream names is always "Undefined" at playback
Hello,
same thing here. Media Player Home Cinema shows all audio and subtitle tracks without any language information. When opening the same movie in mkvmerge GUI only the video track has the language correctly set (always english?). All other tracks show just nothing and not even undefined.
