Re: v1.6.3 fails to open disc
The disc is the US version of Superman/Batman Apococylpese (ok, can't spell). v.1.6.2 and v.1.6.3 on 64-bit Fedora 13. fails to open this disc is one of three ways every time I retry... 1. on decrypting the MKB_RO, just hangs at 100% cpu... v1.6.2 I had to kill -9 the makemkvcon and makemkv gui pro...

DD 2.0 tracks not being selected
With the language prefs set to English, makemkv 1.6.2 64-bit linux is not selecting the DD 2.0 english tracks. The rest of the English tracks makemkv selects just fine, it seems. Since the DD2.0 track is usually the commentary track, this means I have to go through for each title and manually select...

Re: John Q fails -- AACS too new
What's interesting is that some tries, makemkv will spend a bunch of time spinning at 100% cpu before failing out. So, it's doing something before giving up. I may try a recompile and see what happens. Took the disc out to try another which works, put back in, and decrypted this time. Running makemk...

Re: John Q fails -- AACS too new
Hi! That BluRay was released in April 2009 - and most certainly does NOT "newer version of AACS protection". Hunh. And makemkv does say AACS v12. I restarted makemv and tried opening the disc again... same result. And no read errors reported to my dmesg. Enabled debug log and restart... a...

Re: Cannot seek in streams?
I wanted to update on this issue... Just grabbed the latest mplayer. Have makemkv 1.5.6 . Fedora Core 13. With mplayer, as long as I do not seek, the stream plays find. Trying to seek be it via chapters or be it via the normal 10 seconds/1 minute/10 minutes skip keys, mplayer just jumps a few second...

Re: Transformers 2 Revenge of the fallen
mplayer certainly plays the US BD of Transformers 2 (from makemkv) w/o any problems.

Cannot seek in streams?
referring to the http streaming capability of makemkv.
Is being able to seek expected not to work?
(please note my main media player is mplayer -- though, I just quickly tried with vlc and also no go on seeking).
thanks.

streaming - title.m2ts versus title.ts
So far, every blu ray I've looked at streaming (which admittedly is only a few due), I see a file0 and a file0 for each title, one being .m2ts and one .ts, as illustrated below: id 1 duration 3:06:28 chaptercount 43 formatcount 2 format0 m2ts file0 /stream/title1.m2ts format1 ts file1 /stream/title1...

Auto-selected audio tracks
For us English speaking folk at least, the auto selected audio tracks on what is usually the main movie could use a tweak. usually, Makemkv autoselects the main english audio track and the rest of the tracks in other languages, but does not select the DD2.0 / DD2.1 audio commentary track. Usually, w...

Seamless branching blurays
Does makemkv support these? If so, how? Will they appear as two "titles" in the list of titles to rip?
Or will it show as a single title but somehow encode the branching into the .mkv (and if so, how)?
thanks!

Re: Fedora 11 Build Errors
I found interestsing that the build did not complain about the missing ecdsa in the stock fedora 11 openssl. Is this by design that makemkv will work properly using the stock openssl? Just to be safe, I pointed it at the openssl I downloaded and built separately, that does contain ecdsa support. I c...
