Re: Rip blu ray with several episodes
Others have already mentioned looking for similarly sized titles ocurring in a quantity equal to the number of episodes on a disc. For most shows, you can also determine which title belongs to which episode by the number in the playlist file associated with it. 99% of the time, these playlists are n...

Re: John Wick 4
I have the Amazon Exclusive Limited Edition. The 4K disc does not rip. I've submitted a dump (MKB20 v77 John Wick- Chapter 4 51AE).

Re: Recovering from read errors in Linux
I've tried this with a 4K disc (Onward) and MakeMKV cannot find the volume key, even though it has no trouble decrypting the actual disc.
Does this just not work with 4K discs?

Volume key unkown for an ISO file. The original disc opens fine.
I bought a copy of Onward from Amazon, but it came with a circular scratch from the factory that prevented me from ripping it with MakeMKV. Amazon sent me a replacement disc, which also has a scratch, but in a different location. I made a complete rip of this disc using ddrescue to fill in the missi...

Re: Windows 11 ready - TPM Enabled - Hash Check Error
I don't think this is an issue specific to TPM or Windows 11. I upgraded to Windows 11 a few weeks ago and have had no issues ripping standard or 4K blu ray disks with makemkv.
I've also run with TPM 2.0 and BitLocker enabled for years.

Feature suggestion: An option to set crop offsets in AVC and HEVC video streams
Removing letterboxing/pillarboxing from videos is a good QoL enhancement, especially for anyone watching content in a window on a computer instead of a TV. h.264 and h.265 (AVC and HEVC respectively) include flags for crop offsets in their respective picture streams. These can be set without losing ...

Feature request: Sort playlists by segment map or playlist file name
An option to sort by these properties would be really helpful when ripping TV shows. Most discs with TV shows include the episodes with the playlist names in the correct order. But the way MakeMKV sorts them by default means these are often out of order. I have seen some discs where the playlists nu...

Handling multi-disc films
I recently ripped my new 4K Lord of the Rings set, and the extended editions are on two discs each. Having two files for each movie is kind of pointless and unnecessary. This isn't the first time I've had to deal with this, as the regular blu-rays are also on two discs, as well as a number of other ...

Re: Is there a way to downgrade the firmware on a Buffalo BRUHD-PU3 from BU11 to BU10?
Can anyone confirm if this works on a device that shows up as a BU11 rather than a BN11 in the modified ASUS flasher?

Re: WH14NS40: Firmware 1.02 or 1.03 preferred for LD?
All of these drives can be crossflashed to each other its the same risk as flashing an older version of the same drives firmware the drives all basically just different revisions of the same thing all have the same controller mt 1959 LG WH16NS60 LG WH16NS40 (SVC NS50) LG WH14NS40 (SVC NS50) LG BH16...

Re: Flashed a WH16NS40, now it won't read disks
Thanks, fortunately this is just an old drive that I don’t care much for and felt like experimenting with. Does anyone know where I can get the appropriate firmware file for my drive?

Pretty old (I got it in 2015), it does not say SVC: NS50 on the label.

Flashed a WH16NS40, now it won't read disks
MakeMKV looks like it's reading the disk for about half a second then it just says "No disk inserted". I get this on Blu-Rays and DVDs. Drive Information OS device name: F: Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST Product: BD-RE WH16NS40 Revision: 1.03 Serial number: SIK9GE3C8195 Firmware date: 2117-11-21 1...

Re: Is there a way to downgrade the firmware on a Buffalo BRUHD-PU3 from BU11 to BU10?
No. Near as I can tell, BU10 is the version that originally shipped on this model when it first rolled out of the factory, so a download of it was never available from the manufacturer. I'm hoping to find someone who managed to dump BU10 from an older unit. The updater here can update a drive with B...

Is there a way to downgrade the firmware on a Buffalo BRUHD-PU3 from BU11 to BU10?
I've seen mentions of firmware version BU10 being compatible with LibreDrive but I can't get my drive on BU11 to read any UHD disks.
