Tonight one of my DVDs when ripped showed SIDE_DATA both in the video and audio streams, I don't know exactly what this is, I have heard about streams dovi for Blu Rays:
Is the DVD equivalent to a dovi stream?
Do I need it?
Will my DVD look odd without this stream data?
Can I decode the streams ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I do have a query, I note every one mentions Plex with regards to the UGOOS AM6B+, will it run Jellyfin and still support dovi?
Not a fan of plex, I have a tonne of media and don't see why I should have to subscribe to watch it in High Res

Re: Need help with firmare updates on two UHD capable drives

The BH16NS55 just flash directly to WH16NS60 1.02MK.
The BP50NB40 with NB52 needs a few more moves: " ..... NB52 to ...

Re: Need help with firmare updates on two UHD capable drives

That's perfect, took me a little bit to get used to the flasher but I sorted it and my LH is quite happily ripping 4k at 6X ...

Re: UHD drives
Now I have seen my model mentioned and just wanted to make sure I understood things correctly - the revision is the Firmware revision? and if this is the case from what I have seen I should not need to do anything in order to read a UHD disk on this - is that correct or have I gotten something ...

Re: Is this some protection method that MakeMKV isn't handli
I'm guessing at this point that this is something that MakeMKV simply can't handle.
Why?
Through a little fiddling with another program I have the 0050.m2ts file
The disk title plays without any fault on a home theater blu - ray system but on a PC it skips and shows corruption so I am making the ...

Re: Is this some protection method that MakeMKV isn't handli
You might think that, but... Star Trek: Enterprise is NOT on the list of "cannot be ripped!" disks; Others have ripped it, and you've obviously ripped other disks in the season, because you're complaining about a problem with one disk, and not the other 23. It would be extremely unlikely that the ...

BUG FOUND (NOT a serious bug)
When changing the output directory for whatever you are doing under the preferences the changes do not take effect until you exit MakeMKV and restart it - it makes no difference if you press the apply button either.
