Trying to scan/rip a screener DVD but when the program boots, it goes into initial scanning mode and just hangs here and never finishes. I've seen this before, wondering if anyone has solutions / settings I should be using?

Yup. And the market will decide what's fair. It's great software. At some point, the free key will go away for good and people will have to make a choice (like Filebot which I happily bought for $20). Screener DVD loaded into DVD ROM (PC sees it, identifies it, plays it properly). When I run MakeDVD, it starts the scan and just hangs indefinitely. Screenshot attached - it sits at this point forever.
