Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives
Today the support for "official UHD" drives was finally enabled (not as smooth as it was hoped). As of today most "official" drives are supported, EXCEPT ones with latest firmware. If you have an "UHD official" drive, you should get one of two messages: Code 03DF - you...

Re: UHD rips error out part-way through
Why is it hard to believe that at the layer switch the read starts failing? I've gotten into the habit to clean every new disc before attempting to rip. I've only run into one disc that I continues to fail at the layer switch. I found the best way to clean is with eyeglass cleaning wipes. I get you...

Re: Cannot Rip any UHDs anymore
Is there any reason why there are no issues with playing these discs in a UHD Blu-ray player, but trying to read them for ripping has so many issues? If the dirty / bad disc was the issue, why does it not impact all drives / systems equally?

Re: UHD rips error out part-way through
I am still having this issue more often than not. Sometimes cleaning the disc does the trick, and other times it doesn't seem like anything will work. I find it very hard to believe that all of these discs have a defect or are dirty at the same point in the disc. Am I the only one having this issue?...

Re: Most UHD rips error out around ~25GB
Interestingly enough, it seems my drive (and maybe others') is very picky. I had cleaned discs previously (mild soap and water), and it made no difference. I just tried cleaning the discs with a very mild (organic) TV screen cleaner and a microfiber cloth. After doing that, the discs that were previ...

Re: Most UHD rips error out around ~25GB
So are you saying that my drive isn't able to read certain types of discs, or is there something I can do to resolve this issue?

Re: Most UHD rips error out around ~25GB
That makes perfect sense. Some discs error out before 25GB, some shortly thereafter. It is only happening with UHD discs, yes. Standard Blu-ray discs rip without issue.

UHD rips error out part-way through
I hope someone can help me figure this out. I have successfully ripped a few UHD discs, but most of them fail at right around ~25GB (no, my HDD isn't full...). At first I thought it was a couple of bad discs, as I've read numerous posts about poorly manufactured discs, and the probability of the dis...

I'm on 3.01, is there any reason to upgrade to 3.02?

Create a method to donate to MakeMKV
I have already purchased a registration key for MakeMKV, but I'd like to donate more. I suppose I could just buy more keys, but that seems odd and not representative of the situation. Is there a way currently, or could you create a method for contributing to the great efforts here, in addition to th...

I know it says not perform these steps in AHCI mode, but what about RAID? I don't have an "IDE" setting in my BIOS, just AHCI and RAID.

This is awesome. I have a BU50N I will try to provide a dump for you in the next couple of days if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
I definitely welcome being able to flash my LG BU50N to be able to rip discs. That would be awesome. I have been waiting for some ability, software or firmware to make it possible.
