And can I flash the firmware even though its 3.10 and not 3.03 and i cant seem to find the manufacturing date if that matters i got it around a year ago and the drive doesnt show that a disc is inserted when i put in a uhd disc

So i would just need to flash the drive with the MK firmware: ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014.bin
and it would work would it have any consequences?

Hello i recently bought the Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker 4k uhd disc. But my problem is that my drive (Asus bw-16d1ht firmware: 3.03) won't read it my computer shows that nothing is inserted in the drive. The USB Asus drives do NOT use a BDXL-compatible drive, so they do not work on UHD movies. Even though the first 6 or 8 characters of the model number are shared with the BDXL-capable SATA drives, they aren't the same. I know... I bought one and found out. but then what drive should i buy thinking ...
