Re: Ripping Inside Out 2
That is a good point - I will try cleaning as you suggest. As a side note, the Pioneer ran through reading the disc contents kind of slowed down mid way (on Windows Explorer copy) and then completed. The LG and ASUS drives got mid way re-tried several times and eventually bombed out with a failure t...

Re: Ripping Inside Out 2
OK got it. So, first step is to unlock encryption at the bus level - which the drive handles, then I guess the second level to unencrypt the actual video. So that worked, as in I was able to open the files and create MKVs. However, I it still failed with a M2TS hash check error. https://www.makemkv....

Ripping Inside Out 2
Hi all Come across a weird issue - I am trying to rip Inside Out 2 to MKV and am wondering if I have this process right. The disc will open in MakeMKV fine, and you can select the movie and begin ripping, it will get to about 50% and fail. You can select any language version and the same thing happe...

Re: Columbia Classics Vol 4K Set - data dump submitted
All TV episodes ripped fine for me (US import) including the Bluray movie, however, the 4K movie fails to rip with a read error about 2/3 through. Were you able to rip each episode? Episodes 16-22 fail for me, the others rip fine.

Re: Changing Default Subtitle
Thanks Nucleus & Chetwood for your help. In the end, all I really had to do was follow this post to change the order weight: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=31815 The default order weight was 90 for all subtitles, so I changed the Eng and Eng Forced weight to 89 giving th...

Changing Default Subtitle
Howdy When ripping this 4K, the playback contains Japanese subtitles by default since its first in the list and contains the default flag (as highlighted in yellow). Setting the default MKV flag to the English Forced doesn't change the behaviour, as the Japanese subtitles is still selected by defaul...

Re: All 4K Releases Spreadsheet
Thanks Cannikin!
That is very cool indeed!
Heaps of new 4Ks being added by the studios which is great, and the list makes it easy to filter to help decide the next purchase. :thumbs up:

Re: All 4K Releases Spreadsheet
Fantastic list Cannikin! I am wondering if you can also include if a 'Review' was done for a particular title? Just a True/False column. The thinking is that if its not Reference or Outstanding disc, it maybe because it hasn't been reviewed as yet. Otherwise, thanks for the list it is very helpful. :)

Re: DVD Manual Mode help me
Hi I am not entirely certain what you are trying to achieve, however, the DVD Manual mode allows you to take say a title and split it in to a number of separate MKV files. The XX[:[yy,yy,yy-yy][;yy]] is the format used to tell MakeMKV's how you want to split any given title(s). So for example, if yo...
