Re: SDFtool Flasher
I just downloaded the tool but does not show up correctly on my windows 11 machine. It appears that the windows is too small and I can not see the check marks and the text is cutoff. Windows will not let me make the window bigger. From the first post. NOTE: If the GUI looks a bit deformed (happens ...

Re: Flashing Verbatim 43888 from Linux
Hi, just got the 43888 and have not been able to flash from Linux (I don't have anything with Windows). When I use makemkvcon from the shell there is simply no response at all to the flash command. Other commands do work. I am using PopOS which is Ubuntu based. I usually used the MakeMKV flatpak wh...

Re: LG WH16NS40, mfg Aug ‘14 - reports 1939 w/ 1959 chip inside?
So I located an old LG WH16NS40 drive, but noted that it was manufactured before 2016 (2014 08 26 from label). When I open MKV it shows MT1939 as does the firmware updating tool posted here on these forums. I decided to open it for laughs and inside found a MediaTek MT1959UWDN chip, which I’m guess...

Re: UHD Enabled Drives (Australia, NZ & Singapore among others!) & DIY "Single Drive Flasher UI" available worldwide!!
Stock levels updated in first post. All Pioneer branded drives are now gone! There will be no more. I do still have some Verbatim 43887's with the Pioneer BDR-UD03 cross-flashed to BDR-UD04 firmware for UHD compatibility available. I have very limited stock of the Verbatim 43888's & 43889's with...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
Hello, I am also having trouble with my BP50NB40 SVC NB52 (manufactured 1/2026). I cannot seem to locate the BP50NB40 (NB52) 1.03-MK bin file. Can someone point me in the direction of where to find this? I only see the HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP50NB40-NB50-1.03-NM00800-212005070917.bin located in the "...

Re: Blu-Ray Drive Stuck On Loading Disk
Hello forum, I have recently obtained an older Pioneer Blue-ray reader. Whenever I have tried to load a disk, it gets stuck at perpetually 'Disk is being loaded...'. I have tried just waiting literal hours, it is connected to known good SATA, and I have had this install of MakeMKV read and rip DVDs...

Re: Are there any UHD external drives rip capacity out of the box?
I get really confused and overwhelmed with all of the threads in this forum relating to UHD drives and all of the talk of flashing. Are there currently any external drives that are capable of ripping UHD discs out of the box? Most of my library is Blu Ray and I have been able to successfully rip mo...

Re: Zombieland 4K UHD AACS 2.1
Sorry to dig this up after such a long time, but I just found a Steelbook copy of Zombieland 4K, and I got the "Failed to open disc" error. When I searched the forums, I found this thread and it sounds like the AACS 2.1 discs are problematic. I was curious if the dumpfile would be helpful...

Re: LG BP55EB40 - flash issue
Hi, I have the exact same drive as you. I also flashed both firmwares one after the other. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem with UHD movies as you did at the beginning. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Here is the information from Make MKV: Drive Information OS device nam...
