Re: SDFtool Flasher
Hi all — I’m hoping someone can help me recover from a flashing error. I accidentally flashed slim drive firmware (WP50NB40) onto my ASUS BW-16D1HT. The drive is now soft-bricked — it identifies as WP50NB40 1.03, and I can no longer flash anything else to it. “Write flash” throws error 0xff05c103, ...

Re: BD Log Submission AACS v82
There are entries for both of these discs in the latest KeyDB database file. If you download it and put it in the MakeMKV data directory (where the dumps are generated) you should be able to rip them.

Glad your all sorted!Dark_Helmet wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 1:14 pmSo I just cleaned the disc with a soapy microfiber cloth, and… it f’ing worked! 😄MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 10:13 amThe drive is having difficulty reading a certain spot on the disc. CLEAN THE DISC!!! Very important, especially with brand new UHD discs as they often have an invisible film on them from the manufacturing process. Thanks for helping, Marty! 😊
The disc is brand new and looks like a mirror.
I was in a rush to watch the movie, so I pulled out my old Blu-ray player (an LG UP970) connected to the TV. It did freeze once near the end, but I think that was just the old player acting up. I restarted the movie and jumped to the closest chapter with the freezing scene — it played fine after that, so I think it was a one-off issue.
This morning, I fired up MakeMKV again, and it could read the disc — but the same problem happened about halfway through.
Here’s the first error I got:
Error 'Scsi error - NOT READY:LOGICAL UNIT IS IN PROCESS OF BECOMING READY' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' at offset '32302430208'
I let it sit longer this time, and it restarted itself, now reading at 1x speed. Then I got this:
Error 'Scsi error - UNIT ATTENTION:POWER ON, RESET, OR BUS DEVICE RESET OCCURRED' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' at offset '32303345664'
Now I’m getting a bunch of these messages:
The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 32302448640, attempting to work around
Too many AV synchronization issues in file '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' (title #-), future messages will be printed only to log file
I have to head out soon, so I might just let it run for a few more hours and see what happens. Even though there is no activity to see, and “remaining time” is just going up — it’s saying 12 hours now.
Ripped the movie in about an hour.
Next time, Marty, please be more clear with your advice — maybe four exclamation marks next time? 😜
Seriously though — thanks, man. I can’t believe how fragile this media is.
Appreciate the help!

Re: All Pioneer drives will be LibreDrive supported
Yeah, the updated firmware support is to enable LibreDrive and UHD support. Are you SURE about that? The announcement just says LibreDrive, it is silent about UHD. Pioneer's 211/212/213s don't recognize UHD without a firmware upgrade. Do you have outside knowledge that the announced capability incl...

Depends on your drive model. Dumps from most Pioneer's are still ok, just not the UD04 and 211/S11 series, I think.rkhollister wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 3:10 pmI have Pioneer drives and have been informed the dump file from those is insufficient

It seemed to work, but about half-way through it stopped, and after that it can't read the disc.
I hope it can be fixed![]()
