Re: LG BU40N enclosure?
Billy, I've never had that issue and I have had 100+ of those Silverstone TS14 enclosures putting both BU40N's and UD03's in them. The eject button works fine on every single one of them!
That's good to hear I trust what you say more than the 2 random people that told me that could have been ...

Re: LG BU40N enclosure?
Bought an LG 183663 (BU40N) slimline SATA Blu-ray drive and a generic USB 3 to slimline SATA cable. Seems to work fine ripping regular Blu-rays plugged into a USB 3.2 gen 2 port with 1.5 amps.
I have a few 4K UHD Blu-rays and am considering flashing the drive. The USB cable has the drive ...

Apologies / I used your purchased/supplied flasher to update these drives. Can you point me to where I can download the stock wh16ns40 1.05 firmware? Pulling my hair out looking for it across the forum

Re: LG Original Firmware Flashers (to return to original firmware)
Thanks so much for these, Marty!! It's really appreciated!! :D
Will the BP50NB40 1.03 firmware work for a BP55EB40 SVC: EB52 as well?
These original flashers only work for that particular model, so no.
Thanks, Marty!! If you ever happen to come into possession of the original BP55 ...

They switched to BU40N's almost 2 years ago. It's almost a certainty that all of the Pioneer one's are gone.tomty89 wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2026 12:46 pmNew enough ones. Older ones could be Pioneer Inside™.MartyMcNuts wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2026 12:04 am The Verbatim 43888 would likely be your best bet as you can flash omnidrive firmware to it for copying game discs.

Re: Blu-ray failure rate frustrations. Help!
I'm really frustrated with my Blu-ray rip success rate. About 50% of my rip attempts fail mid-process, and I can't figure out why. When a rip completes successfully, Plex plays the file perfectly with no issues. But roughly half the time, the rip process just fails partway through and I get no ...

Re: I'm a noob, can someone point me to the best option for burning and reading all types of discs?
I'm new to this world but I'd love to find a drive to back up my 4k movie disc collection, burn M Discs to back up family photos and videos along with important documents, and burn high end CD-Rs for use in retro game consoles like Sega CD/Playstation/Saturn/Dreamcast. From my searching it appears ...

Re: UHD FAQ
Yea that’s all findvuk under the covers. Disc info is mine. They really don’t interact at all.
So, in your Disc Info comment, can you add the steps so people know what to do?
1. Backup to folder (leave decrypt unchecked)
2. Delete the AACS directory
3. Open index.bdmv in MakeMKV
4. Create MKV ...

You know these drives have not been manufactured in over 2 years!! You likely won't find them anywhere unless you go for used items.sazer80 wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2026 11:16 pm Does anyone know where I can find a Pioneer XS07TUHD firmware 1.02 or lower and a Pioneer BDR-XS08MB?![]()
