Re: New BU40N Drive Flash Failure
I trying 1.01 right now and am receiving a bit slower speeds: https://i.imgur.com/tsg7hle.png I would have tried BU40N-1.00 but I did not see it in the 'old' directory: https://i.imgur.com/Cp3RRfi.png Though it could be there.. my eyesight is very poor because of my disabilities, one of which is ca...

Re: New BU40N Drive Flash Failure
That is what I received on the firmware mk 1.04 (note screenshot above) ... interesting the difference between 1.03 / 1.04 There are so many variables (the disc itself, dust particles, humidity etc...) that the speed you get depends on. You would note in the Ultimate Guide 2025, 1.03-MK is recommen...

Anyone have any info on the drive models that are currently being used for development? Ones that are not currently crossflashable but are being tested?

Re: Confusion about Pioneer BDR-X13E-S vs. BDR-X13E-X
Direct UHD disc playback is not recommended for any drive as you will wear out your drive a lot faster. Because support ended long ago for my lovely Pioneer LX500 BD player I bought a second one to share DVD/BD movie playing, thereby extending their lives. But to do so further, can I USB connect an...

Re: How to determine if a disk ID is registered in the Keydb
Here I'm posting a shared link to the dump file for the Blu-ray disc I want Keydb to support. It's probably something no one has shared yet. Also, could someone please tell me how to check if my disc's ID is already entered in Keydb, and where disc IDs are added in the first place—is it the public ...

If you notice, the START & EXIT buttons have enlarged fonts & the word START is cut off. When I click the Start button, nothing happens. Anyone experience this? Any advice would greatly be appreciated! https://i.imgur.com/27mHUdI.jpeg I don't see any responses, yet, so... is MakeMKV install...

Re: New BU40N Drive Flash Failure
I attempted to flash this 'new' BU40N drive with the firmware options that I could find in the forum, each received an error. My guess is that this drive is not the same as the other 40N versions, but of course am not sure so I have included a picture as reference. Interestingly, notice in the phot...

Re: New Pioneer and EEPROM flashing (xgecu T48)
Would anyone have a suggestion for a specific Pioneer drive model number? I have been mostly using the 5.25" drives but I can look at slim as well. I know this may be of limited usefulness to everyone, but I am going to see what I can do anyway. Thanks all! Well, there really aren't any curren...

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U Drive - Which Firmware to Flash?
ASUS don't make drives. The BW-16 is just a rebranded LG drive.TnEGuy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 29, 2025 2:09 amI've got to admit that I've re-read the flashing guide yet again. I must be blind or just plain ignornt, but I still haven't seen the connection between my Asus-branded drive and the LG firmware. (Probably just ignornt!😎)
You were absolutely correct though. I flashed the drive with the firmware you said to without encountering a single hiccup.
I'm currently ripping my first UHD Blu-Ray disk with it; even as I'm writing this. It's looking like the 50-some GB rip will take around 40 minutes total. Right in line with the speed testing results in the flashing guide, I'd say!
Thank goodness you guys understand all of this so well! Thank you for your very helpful reply.
