Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
I’m trying to submit a couple, but how do you get the disc dump links? I have the disc pulled up in MakeMKV but see nowhere to access that so I can post it on here. The MakeMKV log window tells you the location of the dump files. The are in the MakeMKV data directory unless you changed it. You need...

Re: New UHD drive, walk me through like I'm 5.
Okay, long story short, I have in the past bricked a drive doing things out of order (my fault), so now I have a nice paper weight. I recently purchased the LG Ultra Slim BP60NB10 model. And of course, I need a libre drive flashed. What I would like to know, is the step by step process. I know ther...

Re: Beige dilemma
Hello all, A bit of a weird post (especially if you are young...). I have a black Pioneer 212 and it works great. The only problem is, I have an beige computer case and the black drive sticks out like a sore thumb. After many weeks of searching, I have accepted I will not be able to easily find the...

Re: Region 2 Blu Rays Being Read as DVDs
I have an ASUS BW-16D1HT. I have included an image of a region 0 result and a region 2 result. Since the region 2 blu ray is reading as a DVD, it is ripping at a much lower quality than it should (at least that's what I suspect). I expect to see a 12-13 GB file for a video that is around 48 minutes...

Re: 2nd drive alongside Pioneer BDR-XD08TB - should I buy an LG BU40N, or an I-O DATA BDR-S16QZ/HA?
This is much too much to read. Hopefully this is more concise: Will LibreDrive firmware degrade performance when ripping CDs, or when writing discs of any kind? Will installing official updated firmware, provided by the drive vendor, improve performance when ripping CDs, or when writing discs of an...

Re: 2nd drive alongside Pioneer BDR-XD08TB - should I buy an LG BU40N, or an I-O DATA BDR-S16QZ/HA?
Let's put it this way. Pioneer are the superior readers and writers. If you need to write to a disc, use the Pioneer. Pretty much any other "brand name" drive will be fine for ripping CD/DVD/BD discs and the next best drive that isn't a Pioneer would be the LG BU40N. Don't even look at th...

Re: All Pioneer drives will be LibreDrive supported
Here's a spare I just picked up from a yard sale, chinese box and all. Looks like the firmware is very recent. I'm wondering if it's possible with this one? Drive Information OS device name: E: Current profile: DVD-ROM Manufacturer: PIONEER Product: BD-RW BDR-XD08 Revision: 1.04 Serial number: Firm...

Re: Pioneer BD 208D: Upgrade in which order?
Hello! I have a Pioneer BD-208DBK that is running the original firmware. I know this because the firmware has never been up- or down-graded. On the device is the following: MFD NOVEMBER 2012. Pioneer Japan has a firmware update to get the device to version 1.50. There is also a warning: "Once ...

Re: Files unreadable.
Could you please explain what you mean by encoding and ripping? My main language is french and sometimes it's hard to understand. I use Makemkv to make bdmv files with full movies with menus. I also make mkv files but mostly bdmv files. Thank you :D Well, MakeMKV is a ripper. It rips to either a di...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
All working as hoped. However, if you try to flash the drive while the disk drive tray is ejected SDFTool throws an error with an error number. Would it be possible to check the status of the drive tray and throw a more human readable error if it's currently out? Um, no. It is just a GUI for the sd...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
I have been trying to find an Asus BW-16D1HT to flash for about 2 months. They used to be $99, then went up to $129, then several hundred dollars, and now for the past month there is absolutely none to be had anywhere. Can anyone confirm or deny if these have been discontinued? If not, is there any...

Re: Billycar11 Selling Flashed Pioneer UHD Drives USA only, Remote Flashing,Tested & Makemkv Discount Code
That's cool too, but I thought I read somewhere that the general ability to downgrade or cross flash Pioneer XD08s was coming soon, maybe in a "few weeks". Is that incorrect? I'm happy to send mine to Billycar11 (and pay) if he's willing to perform this service on previously owned units. ...
