Re: SDFtool Flasher

Hi Marty,

I just got an Archgon drive and found that it doesn't work right away with MakeMKV, which has led me here. I'm new to the concept of flashing, but your GUI seems pretty user-friendly. I am a little confused about the different .zip files--I'm assuming I only need the newest version of ...

Re: (Asmcom:) Pioneer UHD 4K Drives, MakeMKV Discounted Software £39.99, Worldwide Service, Excellent Service!!!

I'm new to this forum, so please bear with me if I'm asking obvious questions. But what is the difference between the two different firmwares? (BU40N 1-00DE and 1-00MK) How do I know what to get?

Also, on your first post it mentions a special offer for forum members. It says something about using ...

Re: Looking for a new US Pioneer drive with PureRead 4+ that's not flashed.

I found a new Pioneer BDR-XS-07UHD on eBay recently. I had it my cart, fell asleep, woke up and it was sold. That about killed me tbh.

I also recently had a new Pioneer BDR-S13U-X setup to finance or even just buy with my debit but it sold today too. It had been posted for 3 months so I thought ...

Re: External Buffalo BRXL-16U3 (BH16NS48) flashable?

Hi, I still have an external Buffalo BRXL-16U3 drive that I bought in Germany in 2014.

Am I correct in thinking that there is no custom firmware for UHD for this drive?

Product: BD-RE BH16NS48
Platform MT1939

Mmm... you may want to consider editing (or deleting) this post... I don't think it's accurate.

How is that not accurate? That is exactly what it is!

OK - my bad. I did not realize that the LG MT1959 drive was the only model drive that "SDFtoolFlasher" worked with. Somehow, I got the ...

Re: SDFtool Flasher

"SDFtool Flasher" is a Graphical User Interface frontend for "makemkvcon f"/"sdftool" made by MartyMcNuts for flashing/dumping firmware (LG MT1959 Blu-ray drives only).

Re: BU40N with OEM firmware A102 (MT1959): every flash reports "Done successfully" but firmware never changes

Solved, thank you MartyMcNuts. You nailed it: dropping enc was the fix.

For anyone who finds this later with the same "Done successfully but no change" symptom on an A102 / MT1959 BU40N: every one of my attempts had been using enc, and the drive silently discarded each one. The moment I flashed ...

Re: Newly released UHD not Decrypting

So this is new. Billycar11 helped flash my Pioneer drive, and everything is working smoothly. Everything is ripping: Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD. Everything works perfectly. Picked up a copy of A-24's The Drama today, and this is the first time I've gotten this message that you see above. It just says ...

Hello,

I recently bought a Verbatim Optical Drive (https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/verbatim-external-usb-c-blu-ray-writer-vb43888) and have been ripping my BluRay collection. Today I tried to rip my first 4K disc and got a bunch of errors in MakeMKV v1.17.7 on Linux Mint saying ...
