Re: Help Error "Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive"

According to MakeMKV, the highest AACS version is 68, but I don't remember if I ever tried to play or rip a disc with AACS v82. If that were the case, could that explain AACS revocation? As soon as you insert a disc with a higher AACS version than what the drive has previously seen, the drive will ...

Re: SDFtool Flasher

According to the sticker on the drive, the Verbatim 43888 (LG BU40N) has a power requirement of 15W (5 V 3A) and my laptops USB C port has a max 15W output. There does not appear to exist any AC powered USB C hubs with ports that deliver more than 15W output and also data at the same time. Charging...

Re: Having some ripping trouble with a new ASUS BW-16D1HT

Hi all, I have two BR drives in my computer, the first I bought in 2020 which happens to be the same model number as the one I bought nearly a month ago: Older drive (call it drive 1): ASUS BW-16D1HT, Revision: 3.10 New drive (drive 2): ASUS BW-16D1HT, Revision: 3.11 MakeMKV version: 1.18.2 Primary...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026

G'Day all. Apologies if this has been answered, I'm new to all of this. Have been using MakeMKV for ages, love it. Have a Pioneer BD-RW BDR-S12U looking to see if there is a firmware for it for UHD ripping. Reading this forum the impression I get is I'm out of luck, needs to be firmware 1.02 not 1....

Re: Help Error "Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive"

Thanks for the reply. I have already tried power cycling the drive and the PC. I also tried ripping discs on another computer but it didn't work. Regarding the AACS version I tried several Blu-rays protected with AACS v81, v68, v20, and even v2. Since it happens with every disc regardless of the AA...

Why would people carry on with that Archgon anyway...? Let them sink!
That is why I no longer source them nor recommend them at all.

Re: SDFtool Flasher

Do you have a link? Am I the first person to attempt to enable UHD capability on the Verbatim 43888 drive? No, you aren't, not by a long stretch. The original versions came with a native UHD Pioneer drive inside. The current versions come with an LG BU40N, which needs flashing with SDFTool Flasher....

What do you mean ? For others PM is coming ? What did i say wrong
Well, you are asking for a PM for what exactly? You didn't copy and paste your MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections, so nobody knows what you want.

Re: Help Error "Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive"

Hi, recently tried to rip some BluRay discs but each time, I get the error "Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive". However my drive (ASUS SBW-06D5H-U) has LibreDrive enabled so I don't understand why this is happening? Does any...

Re: Rip-error at offset "X", ISO

I am at the tipping point of frustration: I am in the process of mkv-ing an entire tv show to my NAS, however a few (2 so far) disks have been nothing but problematic. With these two disks I always get errors like "The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00003.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 12288...
