Re: Dune BD Backup Error
I have a Pioneer BDR-XD05 and tried to back up my Dune (2021) disc. I received this error: Error 'OS error - This device does not exist' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/01218.m2ts' at offset '9972215808' Failed to save title /BDMV/STREAM/01218.m2ts to file G:/Video/backup/Dune/BDMV/STREAM/0121...

Re: makemkv LG WH16NS60 4K UHD no disc inserted
I see several threads about this (topic), but I have not found a solution yet. Of course I have tried rebooting, removing the drive, adding it back, blinking twice then turning it on, et cetera. All to no avail, so far. I am running Windows 11, with an new LG WH16NS60 from NewEgg. It is in an 'OWC ...

Re: discs not working, dump files too large for forum
for some reason makemkv was acting up, when I rebooted today (don't reboot too often) and lauched it again to get the dump files again, it simply ripped them... not sure what went wrong since it didn't work, but they are in order now *shrug* computers work in mysterious ways some times I shutdown m...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
Thanks for the info. Sounds like flashing it twice is the best of both worlds. Will the SDFtool Flasher (v1.3.6) handle the Flashing to BW-16D1HT 3.02 if I can find it? Or would WH16NS60 1.00 add more capability /stability instead? I just found "All You Need Firmware Pack (MartyMcNuts)" f...

Re: AACS v82 dump - Japanese Blu-ray Disc
Hello, I tried to back up a Japanese Blu-ray disc with MakeMKV v1.18.1, but it failed to decrypt. The log says: "This disc uses newer version of AACS protection. Saved AACS dump file... Disc volume label code unknown - failed to decrypt." I am attaching the AACS dump file generated by Mak...

Re: Valerian 4K: SCSI eror Plays on 4K Player
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is a triple layer disc… those are the hardest for any optical drive to rip. Do you have a different drive you can try? In my experience, some drives just don't like some discs. I have a Nolyth Blu-Ray reader that thus far I've been unable to get to work w...

Re: Errors - One rip to rule them all
I have 2 sets of discs blu ray Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit which I have a lot of problems ripping with MakeMKV. There are no errors reported when ripping but the content contains the same faulty output in the same places in the movies. Re-ripping does not vary where the problems occur. I wonde...

Two different versions of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" neither works. Dumpfile can't be added, says too large? about 18MB How can I send them in so it can be fixed? First up, the process is to always email dumps to svq@makemkv.com. Do it in separate emails using the dump file name as ...

Re: How to fix the reading errors? I get errors only on specific Blu Ray Discs.
Changing speed and/or read buffer size didn't change the result. I tried another ten times to rip the Blu Ray disc. AnyDVD is not supported anymore, so I won't try it. Therefore, I am still stuck with the error and it's changing offset locations. Any more ideas, that I can try? If a thorough cleani...

Re: Questions about LibreDrive
Hi, I am looking to buy my first drive and have a few questions about LibreDrive. As I understand it, LibreDrive enables MakeMKV to read the disc as-is without restrictions. It does not, however, directly allow decrypting any of the contents of the disc and only skips "smaller" annoyances...
