It could be the Buffalo case. You may need to remove the drive.r9800pro wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 2:53 pmI did follow the guide and used SDFtool but it has no effect at all even though it shows FW has been updated.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 1:12 amFollow the guide Asus tool is not the current method guide linked below

Re: Problem after backup
I don't know. I clicked on the backup icon. (the one with the arrow pointing to the open folder). I'll try again tomorrow and see what gives. Edit : i did this on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS using the latest Make MKV version. When you click that button there will be a little screen popup for the output direct...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Hi @Marty McNuts I just bought a ASUS BW-16D1HT BD drive which is connected to my Apple MacBook Pro via a mulit-port hub. I run Windows 11 through Parallels. I downloaded the SDFtool Flasher (v1.3.5) and I am unable to flash to DE_ASUS_BW-16D1HT_3.02.bin because the tool doesn't seem to recognize t...

Re: Simple flashing guide questions, Re: WH14NS40...
Hi, all. I just got the WH14NS40 model and the stickers say manufactured 2024, NS50 and firmware 1.05. Does this mean I need to do the sidegrading thing due to encryption? This is where I get a bit lost. What is sidegrading? I'm not sure what exact steps to take and which firmware I need. I tried t...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
First post and I registered here for this. Long time read, first time poster. Appreciate all the hard work that has gone into this guide. I used it myself several years ago when I got my drive. So I recently discovered an issue that was not there before and I am curious if anyone else is seeing it....

If using the latest version of SDFtool Flasher, the encrypted flag is automatically applied when required. You should see a green tick for both drive platform and encrypted firmware.

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hi all, I just got a new pioneer BDR-UD03 1.14, ripped a blu-ray straight with makemkv with no problems. But when I put a UHD Disk into the drive it spits it back out after like 10-15 seconds. Anybody able to help me or point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Laufwer...

Re: SDFtool Flasher error
Coopervid's comments: "Is this an AMD PC? Or have you it connected to an port that is provided by an additional chip? Then switch ports." 1) This is an Intel PC. 2) There are 4 SATA ports on the motherboard. This drive is plugged into the same one previously occupied by my last DVD player...

Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?
So, a drive needs to be flashed for LibreDrive features whether you want to rip UHD or not? Is LibreDrive necessary for any type of BluRay, or does it just make the ripping faster/less error prone? Libredrive is required for UHD ripping. For standard BD, it isn't needed but when enabled, it does st...
