Re: Flashing BD-RE BU40N Firmware 1.05

Hello all & thank you in advance for the help. I have a Product: BD-RE BU40N Revision: 1.05 which came in a Verbatim 43888. I have read through all of the documentation (2026 UHD thread & SDFlasher thread) AI assisted searching also. According to my AI assisted searches, it will work to fla...

Re: SDFtool Flasher

Hello, and thank you for the work that you've done. I downloaded the SDFtool Flasher v1.3.6 and tried to flash my drive (LG BP60NB10 (2025 version)). When I tried to do the flash I was given an error from SDFtool. error: Command produced error code 0x82052400 Then another window from SDFtool Flashe...

Re: Looking for help flashing Pioneer BD-RW BDR-S12U

Dear Marty, i was not able to downgrad to this very old 1.17.7 cause of dependency hell, especially to new ffmpeg etc. Is there any other workaround anyone can kindly suggest or will this be fixed in an upcoming version perhaps? :-) Do a lot of Linux folk have this problem at the moment? I found th...

Re: ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.10

Great, well, it has the MT1959, so I was able to flash it, but that didn't seem to matter, since it won't read anything. When you say junk, do you mean they just took spare parts, slapped it together, threw it in a Chinese retail box with all the usual stuff & sold it as UHD Friendly for $109? ...

Re: LG WH16NS60 SVC CODE: NS40

Probably, but if you look in the MakeMKV pic, it's listed with "MT1959". Which is how I was able to flash it, did they somehow fake an MT1959 chip, when it's really an MT1939 chip? No they didn’t fake the MT1959 chip. They would have taken the guts from a cheap drive such as the WH14NS40 ...

Re: LG WH16NS60 SVC CODE: NS40

NOTE: I moved this from LibreDrive drives, don't think that was the right area. Like the title says, I just received 2x LG WH16NS60 with SVC CODE: NS40, each has a new sticker on it from 2024-04-26, Manufactured: February 2024. I bought them on eBay from a seller in China, did I just get bamboozled...

Re: ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.10

Also bought a new in box Chinese retail ver of ASUS BW-16D1HT, it came with an unpatched 3.10 firmware, from a Chinese seller on eBay, a different seller than the one who sold me 2 lemon LG WH16NS60 with SVC CODE: NS40 drives. So I used "DE_ASUS_BW-16D1HT_3.10_MK.bin" with SDFtool Flasher...

Re: SDFtool Flasher

Hi team, I've just purchased MakeMKV, downloaded and registered it. Downloaded SDFtool Flasher.exe and the required Firmware zip. I have read through the guide found here: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634 and have a LG WH16NS60 drive (Manufactured: April 2023) with 1.0...

Re: Can you tell if this drive is capable of ripping UHD(4k)?

A little correction, the BH16NS55 is ready for 4K or 4K flash even with production date 2015  Not before October 2015 unless you are willing to risk it. Must be MT1959 drive platform. Yes, the MT1959 is necessary of course. I don't know right now which months I have had in my hands in the pas...

Re: UHD Enabled Drives (Australia, NZ & Singapore among others!) & DIY "Single Drive Flasher UI" available worldwide!!

Stock levels updated in first post. All Pioneer branded drives are now gone! There will be no more. I do still have some Verbatim 43887's with the Pioneer BDR-UD03 cross-flashed to BDR-UD04 firmware for UHD compatibility available. This is now the best drive available. There are a few Verbatim 43888...
