Re: steps to reflash?

Steps: 0. make sure you have the latest SDF.bin , specifically at least version 0x7B 1. select the "right" firmware to flash (like DE_LG BU40N_1.00.bin). 2. locate the firmware file for the "wrong" firmware - one currently flashed to the drive. 3. confirm that this is a "si...

That's great!
Totally. Thought you could make a note of it in case it comes up again.
Yep, I'm sure Billy will add a note to the guide.

We don't know as that firmware has never been seen before. Try it and see what happens.
Through recommendations from Billy, ran the Asus Flasher and it worked.
No problems yet.
That's great!

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

You could try the old SDFtool Flasher (version 1.2.0) as that doesn't check the drive platform. The old Flasher READ Firmware worked, where it didn't with the newer. WRITE Firmware still did nothing. "enc?" should not be checked, correct? We don't know as that firmware has never been seen...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

well in this case you cant use the sdf tool for now marty will probably fix it soon. but you can use the cmd to do it or email me for an automated flasher There's nothing to fix. The tool is working properly. If MakeMKV doesn't recognise the drive as platform MT1959, there's nothing I can do about ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

It seems that MakeMKV is not recognising your drive's platform as MT1959, cause that should have a green tick next to it. If the drive platform is marked with a red X, then the start button is disabled so that you can't accidently flash a non-compatible drive. I still think that the current firmwar...

I see, so there is no way to tell which is the right track? (Before ripping, i mean). Even though the disc has that indicator somewhere
I believe subtitle track 4 is the correct one. There are 188 subtitles in this track, although it is not forced. I have checked it and it is the correct one.

MartyMcNuts, what is your image from? I'm not seeing Dolby Vision in MediaInfo which is windows version 21.09. This is a backup folder structure created from MakeMKV 1.16.5 and I was looking at a single m2ts file.
It is from the DV MKV file created using MakeMKV.

Re: How to tell if UHD backup is Dolby Vision

I have some 4K UHD backup images (decrypted). How can I tell if the HDR is Dolby Vision? For example, this one says its Dolby Vision and this is what I see in MediaInfo on the biggest stream file. I was maybe expecting to see Dolby Vision on the "HDR format" line. hdr.png Are you sure tha...

Re: UHD Enabled Drives (Australia & NZ only) & DIY "Single Drive Flasher UI" available worldwide!!

Hi everyone, Just letting you know, I have: 2 x LG BP50NB40's in stock with firmware BP60NB10 1.00-MK (or BU40N 1.00) = $210.00 each. 3 x LG WH14NS40's in stock with firmware WH16NS60 1.02-MK (or whatever firmware you prefer) = $150.00 each. And don't forget, the "Single Drive Flasher UI" ...

So I ripped my collection of about 600 movies, and ended up with about 10 that wouldn't rip because of scratches or otherwise damaged discs. How should I go about getting replacements?
It all depends where and how long ago you bought them. If you are still inside the return window, go for it.

Re: Archgon drive

Have the below Archgon drive purchased from Amazon. Loaded up the GUI flasher and the MK firmwares. I heard this is the same as the LG BU40N, but there are many choices for this. Which version should I choose? Do I have an encrypted firmware currently and need to check some box? Screenshot 2021-11-...
