Re: UHD Enabled Drives (Australia & NZ only) & DIY "Single Drive Flasher UI" available worldwide!!

Hi folks, Just letting you know, I have: 2 x LG WP50NB40's in stock. Your choice of firmware (BP60NB10 1.00-MK or BU40N 1.00) = $210.00 each. (I also have some USB-C (1m) cables available for $10.00 each when purchased together with a drive) 3 x LG BH16NS55's in stock with firmware WH16NS60 1.02-MK ...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

First of all, Thank you. I just used the ASUS FW Flasher + Downgrade Enabled Firmware + the latest MK firmware pack (20/07/2020) since my new ASUS BW-16D1HT has the 3.10 firmware, so I selected the ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014.bin It worked perfectly and I now have a Libre Drive enabled...

Re: Pioneer BDR-212UBK - Great Drive for Every Disk! Too Bad It Isn't UHD Friendly!

I'm interested in purchasing a Pioneer BDR-212XJ drive for, well, aesthetic reasons (it's one of the few BDXL drives that's available with a beige-coloured bezel), but while that drive is BDXL capable, it does not support UHD playback. Assuming Libredrive support for the BDR-212 series drives does ...

Re: Slim UHD Friendly Solution? Anyone?

No, there are no slim drives that are "UHD friendly". They are all "UHD official". There is no "friendly" firmware that the BU40N can be cross-flashed to as all slim drives are "official".

Hope that clears it up for you.

If your drive is UHD ripping capable and LibreDrive enabled, you can use MakeMKV as an "on-the-fly" decryption engine and watch your UHD discs directly.

Re: LG WH16NS40 1.05 won't downgrade to 1.02

Hello. I'm walking through Marty's steps outlined in this thread for my WH16NS40 v 1.05 encrypted firmware (July 2020 manufacture date), but cannot find the referenced patched firmware file WH16NS40 1.05 MK in the downloaded MK firmware pack (from the Downgrade Enabled Firmware V.2.zip file). The o...

Re: Any good internal Blu-Ray Burners that support LibreDrive but also allow UHD/4K Playback?

Pioneer drives are not UHD rip capable, yet... The only internal 5.25" LibreDrive compatible drive capable of UHD playback (and ripping) is the WH16NS60. There are some folks saying their drives have died rather quickly, however there are also some that are still working just fine. I've had mi...

Re: Any good internal Blu-Ray Burners that support LibreDrive but also allow UHD/4K Playback?

I currently have an internal Blu-Ray burner in my desktop that supports up to Dual-Layer. Since the upgraded Motherboard/CPU now supports UHD (Yes, I am well aware of all the hoops one needs to jump through to make this work on a PC) I wanted to replace it with a newer drive that has more support f...

Re: SDFtool Flasher

Excellent - TY. Forgive me for asking but why is it recommended not to stay with 1.04MK? However I will follow your advice MartyMcNuts, and flash to DE 1.00. Just to be sure so I won't brick my drive. Please confirm that I can flash from 1.04MK to DE 1.00 using SDFtool flasher and when I do that, I...

Hello all,

so if I'm read it correctly i can buy a BU40N Slimeline Drive and use your SDFtool Flasher with your DE_LG_BU40N_1.00 firmware and tickle the enc? Box?

No need to use the cmd script provided by Billy?
It's essentially the same thing, just in a GUI.
