Re: LG WH16NS40 not responding to SDFTool_Flasher
Thanks for the fast response. That didn't change the behavior. I have the SDFtool 1.3.6 copied to the default install directory of MakeMKV (running as admin too). It's telling me too that the platform isn't MT1959 and doesn't support flashing (though I don't know how it did anything in the first pl...

Re: Marvel - Fantastic Four - First Steps - protection key errors
I just recieved mine in the mail today and bugger it, it's a very bad attempt at a bootleg!! Both the BD disc and the UHD disc are empty DVD-R 4.38GB discs with the label printed on them!!! Now in the process of arranging a return/refund with Amazon.
I'll have to re-order now.

You can also copy and paste the MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections so we can c...

Re: A24 'X' Trilogy Box Set Issues
I preordered the X Trilogy box set on A24's website on 4K blu-ray but can't get my drive or MakeMKV to read the discs. it might be just me or are these discs actually defective to my computer? I'm only trying to make sense of it since they won't play on my LG BP60NB10 but the discs are recognized b...

Re: Advice for new optical drive purchase
Ok thanks all for the info. Could you define "Cross-flashing" for me? Flashing a drive to a different model firmware, for example, flashing a non UHD compatible drive (Pioneer BDR-XD08TB) with the firmware of the UHD model (BDR-XD08UMB-S) which would result in the drive appearing as a BDR...

Re: SDF update November 2025
Hello, newbie here... Just ordered a Pioneer BDR-209BDK. Is this a good LibreDrive? Does it need to be flashed? And can this read UHD? Also, I own an older LG Blu-Ray/HD DVD can this be any good? Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
Thank you for the PM. When I start BDRFlash it says “No available devices found.” MakeMKV still sees it. There is no disc inside and it is closed. This is on Windows 11. Without a disc, MakeMKV reports this: Drive Information OS device name: G: Manufacturer: ASUS Product: BW-16D1X-U Revision: E113 ...
