Re: ASUS Drive able to be flashed?

I've been using a Pioneer drive for DVD and BDs for years with no problems, it was LibreDrive capable although I don't recall flashing it. But it recently physically failed on me (one of the spring loaded disc retaining pins decided to launch itself across the room when removing a disc). I've got ...

Re: did I luck out on the Buffalo external lottery?

I know it was a gamble, but I purchased this from BH Photo Video as a backup to my WH14NS40. If I'm not planning on ripping UHD / 4K discs is the firmware flashing necessary? if so, would it be recommended to remove it from the enclosure and plug it directly into my computer for the firmware ...

Re: DolbyVision to HDR10+

Hey guys,
i was wondering if there is any possibility to either:
1. turn DolbyVision Metadata into HDR10+ or
2. generate dynamic metadata from Baselayer HDR10 to generate hdr10+ metadata.

If there is any possibility i would highly appriciate feedback.
Thank you guys a lot.

Re: NEW Single Drive Flasher - available worldwide!!

Hi there. Are any of the drives you sell suitable for internal installation inside a desktop?

They are all 9.5mm drives so to install in a desktop computer you would need a 5 25" bay thingy that can accommodate a 9.5mm optical drive.

Much easier to use them externally since they already have ...

Re: ASUS SBW-06D2X-U

Hi there, I am sorry I have not been successful in getting my new Asus SBW-06D2X-U to play / rip UHD (Mortal Engine).
It was originally on Revision A102 and have since successfully flashed it to BU40N 1.03MK, but this did not yield a drive that can play or rip UHD.
I then successfully recovered it ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026

No not updating the name come on man obviously 1.03 mk is that
That's the official name as the author made it

Maybe I'm just a big dummy.

Between all the various warnings about bricking a drive by using the wrong firmware, I spent a lot of time trying to find "BU40N 1.03MK" using the links and ...

Re: LG BU40N enclosure?

Billy, I've never had that issue and I have had 100+ of those Silverstone TS14 enclosures putting both BU40N's and UD03's in them. The eject button works fine on every single one of them!

Looking for help identifying the correct firmware for a drive with a MT1959 Boot BU51 bootloader, and understanding why rawflash reports success while committing nothing.

The drive

Re: LG BU40N enclosure?

Bought an LG 183663 (BU40N) slimline SATA Blu-ray drive and a generic USB 3 to slimline SATA cable. Seems to work fine ripping regular Blu-rays plugged into a USB 3.2 gen 2 port with 1.5 amps.

I have a few 4K UHD Blu-rays and am considering flashing the drive. The USB cable has the drive ...

Re: LG Original Firmware Flashers (to return to original firmware)

Thanks so much for these, Marty!! It's really appreciated!! :D

Will the BP50NB40 1.03 firmware work for a BP55EB40 SVC: EB52 as well?

These original flashers only work for that particular model, so no.

Thanks, Marty!! If you ever happen to come into possession of the original BP55 ...
