Drive: LG WH14NS40 in a Vantec NST-540S3-BK enclosure

I used the read function to confirm current firmware and the filename contained the following: WH14NS40_1.05_212005061444

I assume that means that my current firmware is encrypted so I check the appropriate setting in the GUI.

I select the 1.02 firmware for my drive and initiate the write function.

I receive the following error: "Command produced error code 0x82052603"

Any ideas?

You don't select anything with regards to the firmware encryption. SDFtool flasher automatically sets the encrypted flag if the drive has encrypted firmware.

Yes, your 1.05 is encrypted so in SDFtool flasher you should see 2 green ✔️, one for drive platform and the other for encrypted firmware.

Also ensure there's no disc in the drive and the tray is closed.
