Re: Supported: hp HLDS BDRE BU50N Rev BW50
Hey Mike - On a whim I popped in a disc today and bam, it opened it in LibreDrive mode and just worked! I was asking about this drive about a month ago and it was indicated that as a hp variant it may not work correctly but here we are and it is now working perfectly. Thanks for all the hard work, ...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri
I have made a couple of updates to the ASUS Flasher. 1. (FIX) I found out a few days ago that the application was previously unable to flash BU40N drives. It works fine now. 2. (UPDATE) The application doesn't like really long firmware file names (such as the one's from Mike), so it edits the name d...

Re: I'm sorry, I can't figure out this Libredrive thing.
I've tried reading what happened, but for some reason I just can't wrap my head around it. All I know is MakeMKV used to work, and now it doesn't, and I can't figure out how to make it work. I've tried downloading an older version of MakeMKV, but that doesn't seem to work either. I have an "AS...

Re: UHD USB drives (or laptop slimline?)
Hi All- Apologies if this is covered elsewhere...I tried to search for relevant terms and didn't see anything obvious. I use MacOS on a MacBook Pro and MacMini. Both those use slimline laptop drives. Are there any MacOS friendly UHD drives that are either: 1) slimline that can retrofit into either ...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT 3.03
@mfraz74,
I don't think it will work that way.
Just create and boot from a windows10PE usb stick and it will take all of 30 seconds to flash the drive.

Re: UHD Friendly drives for sale & flashing service (currently Australia & NZ only)
Hi guys & gals, I am selling the Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD (LG BU40N) I purchased last week as I don't really need it. I already have 4 drives for personal use. I don't need a 5th! It is still brand new. I only took it out of the box and connected it to my PC to check UHD compatibility. Here is a ...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT 3.03
Hey Guys, I am having similar trouble as the OP, same drive, same firmware. I first tried flashing with the new MK 3.03 firmware. MakeMKV still says MakeMKV v1.14.3 win(x64-release) started Using direct disc access mode Saved SD dump file as C:\Users\School/.MakeMKV/dump_SD_BEBB0710929BC4F2D5A3.tgz...

Re: Recommended drives (2019)
I was considering buying a BluRay drive, mostly for ripping and writing. After starting to research this, it sounds like the question of model is not simple. Apparently some of the recommendations from last year are no longer valid, due to changes in firmware, etc. I'd like to avoid re-flashing fir...

Re: Firmware downgrade using official (patched) flasher, the "Ultra hax0r guide"
It's a good thing I kept the official ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.02 Flasher. Here is the 3.02 firmware patched as per Mike's Instructions. ASUS_BW-16D1HT_3.02_OFFICIAL_(BYTE_PATCHED).bin.zip @MartyMcNuts,could you to add an option in the program that would first save the current version of firmware on drive ...

Re: UHD Friendly drives for sale & flashing service (currently Australia & NZ only)
Hi all, Just letting you know, I have 1 x LG BH16NS55 drive left from a delivery arriving on tuesday. I can also order (depending on availability) the LG BU40N with/without enclosure or the LG WH16NS60 from USA on request. These take around 3 weeks for delivery to Australia (plus the few days for me...
