Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Went ahead and tried remuxing with files from RPO and it started fine, however I kept getting a repeated error of "lost dd sync. resync" Is there any reason that you all can think of as to why or what it even means? I don't know, but I had some issues like this in the past too Freeing som...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Has anyone tried a movie that had a green tint in LG 2016 oled, but playable probably without it with sony x700?
Because someone else tried that with xbox, and it said that the TV DV version is too old

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Sorry forgot to mention, I'm using a 2016 LG Oled specifically the 65E. And yes I'm able to playback in DV full backups of my UHD's from my network. I agree I don't need it specifically, but having more ways to do it is always a plus, who know when oppo will break and how difficult it might be to g...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So I did try the process to convert to a MP4 container. I was able to make the file successfully, and upon playing it on my TV I could playback the clip, with the DV tag coming on, however the picture had a green tint/covering on it. Then I tried to play the file from oppo, and the picture played f...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I got things confused.
They play fine on my pc without DV
Only my lg 2016 tv show green screen
By the way, has anyone tried Amazon fire stick 4k for DV?
But they would need to mux in dolby vision profile 5. Profile 7 isn't supported.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I'm playing them on an LG C8. What happens if you try and play them on your pc? Green screen. Damn.. What OS did you compile and run mp4muxer on? If Windows, I used Visual Studio 2017 (free version) and built the x86 version (make\mp4muxer\windows_x86). When you first open the solution or project f...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So apparently there's a method to backup UHD ISO's into MP4's that triggers Dolby Vision on an LG or Vizio television app via USB. I made this thread in the hopes we can figure out a way to reconvert this into MKV. The procecure is the following - 1. Make ISO of movie. I have only tested this with ...

Re: UHD support
Starting from version 1.10.8 MakeMKV supports UHD discs. Everything except the decryption should work. Specifically: HEVC codec is supported AACS version is correctly displayed Non-decrypted backup should now work (previously MakeMKV produced correct backups but incorrectly printed hashcheck errors...
