Maybe its the optical drive. I tried the same drive with an old windows laptop, running as admin, with MakeMKV 1.10.7. The drive appears in "My Computer" but not in MakeMKV.

Does MakeMKV give the same error if you insert a DVD instead of a BD in the drive? MakeMKV won't recognize the optical drive even with a DVD inside, the very DVD I ripped earlier today. I still had to "open files" and select the "VIDEO_TS.IFO" file to open and rip the DVD. Which...

Try this - do NOT insert the disk in the drive until after MakeMKV starts The system recognizes the optical drive ( > about > storage), but MakeMKV still can't find it. Finder won't show the empty drive though. Are you copying the disks to your hard drive, or are they still on the optical media? I...

Hi. I'm using MakeMKV 1.10.7 on MacOS 10.12.6. Using an external DVD/BD player I have been able to rip a DVD (Blade Runner, Final Cut), but unable to rip any BD I have got some of them to play on VLC. So the drive works. It also appears under "storage" in the about menu. MakeMKV does not f...
