Re: Failure with recent BluRay "Le Dîner de Cons"
Actually, it is a brand new disc. I just bought it last week and never play it. I directly tried to rip it. Eventually, I managed to extract the movie with another software. But I would like to manage with MakeMKV as I always use it. I sent something to support one week ago as suggested above but I...

Re: Newer Licensee having Bad Luck with Blu-Ray
Swap the disks? Like go out and buy or rent another copy of American Graffiti when the one I have plays fine on my PC with Power Media Player?
We need a better solution to the whole Blu Ray debacle. I paid my $50 in good faith and would like to see the whole mess fixed.

Re: American Grafitti
Interesting side note: The American Graffiti DVD plays fine on my Pioneer BR DVD player burner (USB) using the software that came with my HP PC, "Power Media Player." However, it will NOT play using VLC media player, which I thought was state-of-the-art!

Re: American Grafitti
Do you have any device that is particularly SLOW that you can write to? Such as a USB2 flash drive? It would have to be big enough to hold the main feature, and be formatted in either ExFAT or NTFS. Hardware read errors like you're seeing occur most often with drives exceeding their available power...

Re: Newer Licensee having Bad Luck with Blu-Ray
And here is the error log for American Grafitti. Tried three time to rip the disk. Any other ideas as to what else I could try? MakeMKV v1.10.7 win(x64-release) started Using direct disc access mode Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:SYSTEM RESOURCE FAILURE' occurred while issuing SCSI command A40....

Re: American Grafitti
I keep trying, but no luck. Eleven files were created, all trailers and interview segments. The main movie... just won;t copy. I would be happy to purchase whatever external drive the collective wisdom of the forum would recommend. My Pioneer clearly isn't up to the task. Here is the error report lo...

Re: Newer Licensee having Bad Luck with Blu-Ray
OK, I plugged both USB plugs into the jacks on my HP. Only three files were saved, all of them small. I will try an AC USB power adapter to directly power the drive next. Here is the error log: MakeMKV v1.10.7 win(x64-release) started Using direct disc access mode Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-...

Newer Licensee having Bad Luck with Blu-Ray
Hello All, I should start out by saying I did peruse the threads on Blu-Ray ripping issues. I have been successfully using MakeMKV for about three months, mainly ripping standard DVDs, and last month bought the license key. I am having chronic problems with Blu-Ray ripping, like (apparently) a lot o...
