Re: Blue-ray playback/STREAM with VLC

I spent alot of time trying to find libmmbd on my ubuntu server. I installed MakeMKV via the ppa.

I am running ubuntu 21.04.

The location of libmmbd.so.0 is

Code: Select all

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/
So, make your symlinks from there.

Worked for me.

Re: Default Optical Drive

You can change which drive is being looked at with the "Source" pull-down on the main window. And with a second drive, you can select "Ask for single-drive mode", which will then prompt for which drive to use on start-up. I don't see the option for "Ask for single-drive mod...

Default Optical Drive

Is there a way to set a default drive for MakeMKV? I have an internal and an external. The external is faster and UHD official. I would like makemkv to load up the external as the default, but the way it works now, it loads up the internal first.

I am using this on a Linux (Ubuntu) server.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

yeah thats fine unless you want to use other rippers
On a rare occasion I use DVDfab, if I can't get MakeMKV to work, but I have another drive that I can use, albeit, not UHD.

Re: ASUS BC-12B1ST

Just looked up what I used sucessfully: (Modified) ASUS ODD FW Changer (24.08.2019) + UHD Friendly Firmwares + Latest MK Pack (14.02.2020).zip I cannot even get it to flash to a uhd friendly firmware. Is there anything else I need to do before I try to flash with the ASUS flasher? Right now when I ...

Re: ASUS BC-12B1ST

The BC-12B1ST is a good little drive. As pointed out it can be flashed with the BW-16D1HT friendly firmware. If you should need one of these I'm happy to supply one. So i'm looking into updating pic related, i've found firmware 3.11 for it but i'm curious about what you posted. Do i just use the AS...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

I have an ASUS BW12B1ST drive with 1.03 firmware. Is it possible to flash this drive with UHD friendly firmware? I found this thread: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17834 , which seems to say it is possible. I have tried both the Asus (Modified) flasher, and the new SDFtool. I canno...
