Re: Error: NO_ANSWER_FROM_MAKEMKVCON on Fedora 36 install
I haven't ever bothered building MakeMKV from source codes so cannot help with that but you know that latest MakeMKV is available as flatpak package in flathub https://flathub.org/apps/details/com.makemkv.MakeMKV and it works fine in Fedora 36. Tried the flatpak package on my fresh Fedora 37 instal...

Re: Error: NO_ANSWER_FROM_MAKEMKVCON on Fedora 36 install
just did a fresh install of Fedora 37 on my desktop after memory problems. What packages did you have to install to support the compile? The FAQ directions are targeted for 'buntu and its derivatives and not Fedora. TIA. Found my own answer: very well detailed description on https://linuxconfig.org...

Re: Disable LibreDrive
ignore previous: found the string once I'd enabled debugging in $HOME/MakeMKV_log.txt
Setting that in the sdf_Stop entry in settings.conf re-enabled me being able to rip BD discs : thanks.

Re: Disable LibreDrive
Where will I find the drive ID info in the Linux build (1.14.4)? Not seeing any logging in the $HOME/.MakeMKV directory. Thanks.

Re: Internal error: openssl test 00FC failed
Simone (negativio17.org) updated makemkv today to 1.10.6-2 (Use OpenSSL 1.0.x also on Fedora 26). This issue can be closed now, happy ripping ;-) AkiraNorthstar Have the compat-openssl10 package on my box, reinstalled the Negativio17 repo then removed/reinstalled makemkv based on the above. Same pr...

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 error: Linux 1.10.6
Internal error: openssl test 00FC failed There have been some discussions in the Linux forum about this error and how to resolve it. Without openssl, there isn't much hope of decrypting the content, so resolving that issue should fix you up. $ openssl version OpenSSL 1.1.0f-fips 25 May 2017 I'd ass...
