Re: WH14NS40 SVC - NS50 FIRMWARE 1.03
I have this drive as well. Yes, you will be able to rip with it via MakeMKV, but you'll need a legit UHD-BD drive like the Pioneer drive I've got to actually play back UHD discs in PowerDVD. I see you've likely got this figured out. I have ripped hundreds of UHD discs with the WH14NS40 with SVC code...

Re: Ripping multiple discs at once?
Yeah, really, all MakeMKV is doing once the decryption is done is copying what you select from the optical drive to the hard drive you select. This is not CPU intensive at all. Doing three at a time is in the single digit CPU usage percentage for me. Now, let the PC start converting those files with...

Re: Converting UHD Friendly drive into UHD Real and vicevers
I see your list of supported drives and was wondering if it's exhaustive, or just what you have been able to test works. For example, what about WH14NS40? It's been reported as good if it has ns50 svc code. Also, is the difference with the svc code beyond something that can be flashed? I have this ...

Re: Ripping multiple discs at once?
Excellent. Thank you. Took a second to realize how it would work, but that's exactly what I was after. Thank you.

What causes this error?
Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
The drive in question is the Pioneer BDR-211UBK. Thanks.

Ripping multiple discs at once?
So, to save some time, it would be handy to be able to queue up discs to rip...meaning, one drive after another. I have three optical drives in my machine, and it would be slick to just set them all up to go. Or, being able to run multiple instances of the program at once would do the same thing, an...

Re: UHD conversion time
Anyone? I noticed something today, though. I went to rip Serenity UHD, and it has DTS:X audio instead of Atmos. Combine that with a 12Mbps video bitrate, and full audio copy, and I did the conversion in a little over four hours. Ultimately, I'm OK with this, but was wondering if DTS:X vs Atmos made ...

Re: question about registration key
Thanks for confirming that. I run XP on that machine and can't risk connecting it to the internet ever again. For my main computer I use linux Mint, but don't want to try installing MakeMKV for linux as it would be too much of a challenge. For some things I still need a Windows I guess... MakeMKV r...

UHD conversion time
So, thanks to all the hard work done to extract keys and such from UHD discs, I've started to rip my UHD collection. This is nice and all, but I still have one concern. Using DVDFab to CONVERT a MKV file is taking forever. If I take Braveheart (75GB movie file), and try to bring it down to a managea...

Re: AACS 2.0 is cracked?
One of the other well known programs just announced a UHD Ripper and Copier but they are very careful to indicate it will copy or rip "unprotected" discs. But yet when you click on the product and see the screenshots, the same disc they are ripping is Smurfs 2. Makes you wonder if it rips...

Re: AACS 2.0 is cracked?
TheShoe...am I understanding that you're using mkvtoolsnix for actually ripping an UHD disc? If so, how, may I ask? no. i rip to folder using DeUHD. once decrypted, I can load all the playlists into mkvtoolsnix (it'll actually load them for you, and select the main title. it will let you select all...

Re: AACS 2.0 is cracked?
Tried the program...we will see...somehow, my Pioneer UHD drive, the first one available to have UHD support...isn't supported. Seems pretty dumb. But, in time, maybe so. And, who knows, maybe I'll just pick up another of the drives that IS supported. LOL. What is handy is that a UHD drive is...
