The DVD behavior already matches the BD behavior - it's just that a lot fewer DVDs use the title metadata. You can fill in the information, though. Naming of files ripped from DVD does not include title
When ripping a BluRay the files default to names based on the disk title: eg: " Surprisingly Understated Movie BluRay/Surprisingly_Understated_Movie_BluRay_t00.mkv" but when ripping DVDs they just come out if the disk name was "title" eg: " Surprisingly Understated Movie DVD...

Attachments have not worked for some time, because there are already "too many" attachments. Not sure if that will ever be "fixed". Reading the "physical" log, your drive and Windows did not like parts of the disk: 002003:0000 Error 'Scsi error - NOT READY:CANNOT READ ...

I was unable to rip on my mac (external USB BluRay), so I tried installing makemkv on a PC and using its internal drive. The rip completed, but with read errors.
