Re: Hash Check Errors with Apocalypse Now The Final Cut
I ended up order a Pioneer drive from Billy rather than try to find one with an older firmware and get it flashed. Billy was great, the drive showed up in a few days but had the exact same issue as all 3 of my LG drives. Also tried it on my PC (Mac Pro is my main ripping machine), same result. Seems...

Re: Hash Check Errors with Apocalypse Now The Final Cut
I’m in the US, looking at a full size 5.25 drive. My question is, if I buy a drive from a 3rd party seller with a new firmware, can the drive still be flashed via the flashing services offered by a few members here, or can only older firmware drives be flashed? Sorry for being lazy, found my answer...

Re: Hash Check Errors with Apocalypse Now The Final Cut
Interesting, I've had decent luck with my 3 LG drives, ripped probably around 100 UHDs with a couple issues but not many. Seems like the Pioneer is the way to go? So if I bought one from Amazon, you can provide a flash for it, even if it comes with the latest firmware?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Hash Check Errors with Apocalypse Now The Final Cut
Yes, I have tried.
I actually have the Final Cut and Original edition discs. Both fail to backup around the 6-8gb mark with read error.

Re: Hash Check Errors with Apocalypse Now The Final Cut
Hey everyone, waking this thread up from the dead. I recently bought this UHD disk and cannot get it to rip. Tried 3 different drives that I have used to rip pretty much everything for the past 8 years. The disk size is about 88GB, so thinking it is BD100, but I was able to rip Zack Snyders Justice ...

Had lots of problems with Disc 2, tried downloading the cfg file but that didn't work. Cleaned the disc, which produced some serious hazing, rebooted a few times, but finally got it to work by switching to my non-UHD blu-ray drive.

Re: last jedi
Anyone know how to extract the "score-only" track? I extracted the 3 english tracks and they were: normal audio, descriptive/visual impaired, and directory commentary

Re: UHD drives
Same UHD disc (Amazing Spider-man 2)
LG with 1.02 FM is getting about 25 M/s peak
ASUS with 3.01 FM is getting about 32 M/s peak
Will definitely be looking into x-flashing the LG before putting into the closet as a backup drive.

Re: UHD drives
I can confirm I did get a sv50 unit with a date of manufacture of august 2017. looks like it might be refurb units mine came in bubble wrap only with no documentation Maybe, maybe not. Lots of "OEM" drives just come in a plastic bag. If you go by a place like Microcenter, they have a bin ...

Re: UHD drives
I would say so, but the prices fluctuate. I bought mine in Dec from Amazon for $63 + $25 rebate, which I just got confirmation ASUS is actually going to process :o I did order one of these LG's from Newegg for a backup, but totally forgot it has to be SVC code NS50 to work. Mine should arrive on Thu...
