Re: Triying a first hand disk that has never been used. Made a MKV with no problem. Tried again and it gives me errors

Discs can be defective. I also think they have a shelf life. I have had brand new still sealed blurays that would have rip errors. Most common is a thin film of some chemical that leeches out of the bluray case and settles on the disc. It appears as a splotchy spot on some part of the disc. Cleanin...

Triying a first hand disk that has never been used. Made a MKV with no problem. Tried again and it gives me errors

I have an Asus BD12D2HT connected through a usb cable and an external power supply. I bought it back in 2016 and I have not used it so much compared to my other DVD drives. I made a MKV from the Spanish Bluray of THE BIG BLUE, released by Divisa Media back in 2016. I did it without problem but when ...

Re: device does not exist

Your operating system may not let you access the disk directly to "just copy it" to your hard drive. And, unfortunately, there is not currently a way to tell MakeMKV to slow down. Primary way of fixing the power issue is to make sure the USB port you plug into is "fully powered"...

You can just change your computers date and that would restart the trial option.
that's really not a solution for anybody that does anything meaningful with their PC, playing with the PC's date will mess all the other programs

I am getting faster read speeds than usual, in my USB powered Bluray drive

Before anything else, I must remark that I am not having either any ripping or reading error, when the drive reaches those speeds. I bought and external USB DVD/Bluray drive in Ebay, back in 2015. The seller told me that he manually build it (or that is what I understood). These are its characterist...

Sometimes it tooks a little while to get to the main page of the program

As the title says, if I start the program right after windows detects a disc in the drive, the program takes a short while to get to the main page. It gets a bit stuck, showing the message of "searching for a compatible CD DRIVE" (or something similar). This has happened to me some times (...

Re: Original Blu-ray releases

Good evening, new to the forum but LOVE MakeMKV. Just started ripping my Blu-ray collection recently. I have a Pioneer BDR-XD05B drive and a "UHD" friendly Asus BW-16D1HT. I have some launch or near launch titles that simply will not rip. The titles are Rocky Balboa (2007), Casino Royale ...

Resulting MKV files, start with subtitles activated

This is not a problem that actually bothers me (because it can be solved just by deactivating them manually), but I have realized that all the rips I made with the lastet update, start with the first activated, showing the first ones that are in the list.

Re: Do I have to worry about this message?

No, it means that the drive is capable, but not yet enabled in LibreDrive mode. So you don't get a LibreDrive experience, but your drive works as it should (until the next AACS revocation happens ). Aside from the above, you have 2 identical drives... one LD-enabled, one not... have YOU noticed any...

Re: Do I have to worry about this message?

I have been reading several threads and post regarding Libredrive, and I managed to create a picture of what it is about. It looks like Libedrive allows you to make 1:1 copyes from Bluray and UHD discs. Am I correct? Basically, it is something similar I used to do in the past, combining IMGBURN and...

Re: Zombieland 4K UHD AACS 2.1

I was just hoping maybe someone knew something that I didn't. I'm sure Sony wouldn't tell me jack, and would probably tell me to stop ripping their discs (even though I bought them fair and square). Actually this is just my opinion, but it could probably be because Sony could have taken part on the...

Do I have to worry about this message?

I have 2 ASUS BC12D2HT drives. One has a 3.00 firmware and the other is 3.01. I have been getting this message recently, while the program anaylises the disc inside (when using the drive with the newest firmware). "LibreDrive firmware support is not yet available for this drive (id=8CE8A0CE1C79...

Re: hash table, checksums… How to verify ripped data after r

I compared the file 00800.m2ts with another decrypted rip (source: raw image created by ddrescue) and my second rip seems to be fine. This is not right, you should get two absolutely identical M2TS files A globally checksum database for m2ts-files would be awesome. Maybe something like Ac...
