Re: Which Title / Unchecked Audio?
FYI: This topic has really gotten off track, and is becoming way to unrelated to MakeMKV. But that being said, you might want to try out : PS3 Media Server PS3 Media Server is a DLNA compliant Upnp Media Server for the PS3, written in Java, with the purpose of streaming or transcoding any kind of me...

Re: How about BDAV format of Blu-rays?
As an alternative to tsMuxeR. You could in the mean time, use eac3to. As the disc is encrypted there is no need to use any decryption software. And to be honest of your fine with the m2ts format. You really should only have to copy away the largest m2ts file on the disc. basic info on eac3to for blu...

Re: MakeMKV hangs converting M2TS
I have experienced this with all versions of MakeMKV on about 50% of my bluray content stored on hard drive. Have you tired the new version 1.5.3 ? The converted file is of the expected size but unplayable. This is due to the MKV file not being finished, you "might" be able to salvage it ...

Re: Remake .mkv?
Some minor thoughts. 1. mkvmerge GUI supports dragging and dropping of files. Anything post the 1st drop is considered an additional stream, aka another Video (angle)/audio/ or subtitle. For "joining" too DVD or video files you need to use the append option. Take note that that appended &q...

Re: Very Quiet Audio
You might want to try using eac3to instead of ffmepg to covert your audio.
Exmaple:
Exmaple:
Code: Select all
eac3to -input.dts -output.ac3 -resampleTo48000 -down16 -640

Re: Wrong size video
When you tired ripping it directly with mmg (MKVMerge), did you happen to look at the "Format specific options" and see if the display width and height or aspect ratio where set ?
Have you my chance tried to play the DVD straight, and make sure that EP plays out (like normal) ?

Re: This application version is too old.
Any chance your system clock is way off ? If you think it's registry issue, you could do the fallowing (at your own risk): 1. Fully backup your registry (and whole machine, if possible) 2. uninstall makemkv 3. run regedit 4. Look for all "MakeMKV" KEYs and delete them (Keys are top checkbo...

Re: Very Quiet Audio
I've run across this allot also, using mkv,DVD shrink,DVD decrypter. With both VLC and and mediaplayer classic, but not with XBMC. Which is weird all in of it self. now in Mediaplayer classic I just Enable "Regain Volume" and every things good. And in VLC I need to boost the volume by up t...

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?
Not sure it has anything to do with thumbnails, you try to open from divx (or any program) and it happily displays thumbnails. I believe this has been happening to me since .10 or so and what I've noticed is that it's not the fact that you've navigated to the folder but that you've 'selected' (ie. ...

Re: Remembering play position in MKV
Why I couldn't tell you why some players remember where they left off on some MKV's. I can tell you that this is completely a player issue/setting. Remember players never edit the played file they only read them. And if where saving something to the file, it would need to edit it. Plus the MKV specs...

Re: Audio Sync problems
Please never assume something, as I did read the whole thread. And I'm try to have you convert the so call 'bad' Mkv to a ts file and see if it the new file has the same issue. If you no longer have the issue, it's a codec problem. Which to be frank is what we already know it is. As you do have at l...

Re: Audio Sync problems
Well heres what I do with MKV with sync issues like this. 1. Get your self a copy of TSmuxerGUI 2. Load in your MKV in to TSmuxerGUI and convert it to a TS or M2TS. 3. Now try to to play the file does it still have the same issue ? But in the end i hate to say it, but it does come down to a codec is...

Re: Cannot naviagate to/select folders for a source
1. How did you rip the movies to your WHS (Windows Home Server).
2. What are you really trying to accomplish here ?
Are you trying to just convert your existing library of movies to MKV from (VOB/TS/M2TS/etc) ?
Or have you ripped them into a ISO or other simple full DVD backup ?

Re: Win explorer crashes when I navigate to folder with MKVs?!?
Same thing happens to me with 1.5.2. Using Win7 x64 and recently uninstalled DivX, now only have ffdshow installed. Gonna try installing the new DivX Play 8.0. Only crashes when opening folder where MakeMKV just output the MKVs created. Only solution I have is to log off or restart the system. Hopi...
