Re: Strange behaviour with hunger games catching fire

Hi Thanks for your reply, i am unfortunately not tech savvy enough (although im not terriblly lacking) to undeerstand the whole thread youve linked. I have used another ripper to identify the chapter that is the genuine movie file (the issue is i dont own that one, its only in trial mode). i would r...

Strange behaviour with hunger games catching fire

Hi all I am trying to backup/rip a bluray copy of catching fire, but i keep coming up against strange behaviour. The first thing to say is that when doing a backup is keeps having a scsi error (yes i know what it means but...) followed by a box that says 1 file failed the hash table, when tryign to ...

Re: Back up greyed out

If that message was like this, that's a DVD, because BDs do not have VOBUs. Complex multiplex encountered - 1 cells and 1803 VOBUs have to be scanned. This may take some time, please be patient - it can't be avoided. A quote from an Amazon review: To be clear, this review is for the Lord of the Rin...

Re: Back up greyed out

Hi Thanks for the help, its definitely bluray the disk size is over 30gb, and this set is specifically a bluray set (google the middle earth saga) when I open the disk it says in the log something like- multiple (something) to scan will take a while. would this have an effect? any ideas would be gre...

Back up greyed out

Hi

I am trying to back up some of my bluray movie disks and a few makemkv doesn't give me the option to back up which is strange. Are there unknown limits to making decrypted backups?

a few of the discs are LOTR FOTR special features and appendices.

Thanks

Re: Back up

If you do not remove the encryption during the backup, whatever you use to play the video has to have the decryption key for the disk. This is not a problem if your intention is to then use MakeMKV to create MKV files, but most playback programs will need to have the encryption removed first. so if...

Back up

Hi All I am beginning to back up my bluray disks fully and I thought I would reach out as to the option it give me, as I don't understand the benefits (or not) of ticking the box "decrypt video files". The software seems to suggest either way the backup will need opening with MAKEMKV or is...

Re: Newer UHD drives

The first one, BW-16D1H-U, is not UHD-capable, and is explicitly listed as such in several messages posted here. It's a good unit, if you are not looking for UHD support. Thanks, Is the Bottom one the bw16 still supported or is it now a dud due to firmware updates? I just saw mikes LG post and whil...

Re: Are my drives supported?

Hi. Sorry about the late reply. It's UHD official. I got it for easy usage when traveling. The BU11 firmware may or may not be supported by LibreDrive. I'm not going to flash in order to find out. :) If somebody has a drive with BU11 already on it and wants to report back, please do. Hi Sorry to te...

Ripping episodes into separate files

Hi All

I have lots of bluray series, is it possible to rip individual episodes into separate files without having to rerun the ripping process multiple times?

Thanks

Re: Ripping Bluray read error and save failure

Thanks for getting back Firstly the usb 3 hub it was connected to is not powered separately- although this has never been a problem before. the BD drive has a white connector suggesting a usb 1.0 (if this is the case) I doubt its underpowered. The hub is connected to a usb 3 port on the io panel and...

Ripping Bluray read error and save failure

Hi Everyone I'm trying to convert catching fire (hunger games) and it keeps failing- for some reason its having issues with this particular disk, it comes up with errors in the log and when it finally does display the list of titles, where there is usually 6-10 with varying sizes it seems to come up...
