Re: MakeMKV Crashing

Mac mini on a full desk at the base of my bed, with a USB to my player on my over the bed "desk" for 14 years.... Do you have another drive you can test with? While I think that you have a newish drive, they can still degrade over time. Have you tried with a powered USB hub close to where...

Re: All 4K movies and tv shows not converting

I have been having this issue since the last update where any and all 4k movies or TV shows are not converting, they all go through the process of Folder process or by selecting the drive to convert and once finished, there is no sound or picture and after several minutes, a message pops up "c...

Re: Env-Var to move ~/.MakeMKV/ directory?

And I am simply trying to change the location MakeMKV uses instead of ~/.MakeMKV/ as my user home is full of files that simply do not belong there, including the directory by MakeMKV. The convention of having . directories in $HOME (vs somewhere like .config) is over 50 years old. I would just leav...

Re: MakeMKV Crashing

If I keep my DVD Player next to my mac mini on short USB works fine, however when I try to use USB cable that is longer than 6" I get the DEBUG Code above If you only get the error when using a longer cable then I would say that the problem is power loss with the longer cable. Either use a sho...

If it bothers you that much and you use MakeMKV that much then why not support the author and purchase a key???

Re: Windows Explorer Crash

Memory can fail. Just because it was working 6 (or whatever) months ago does not mean that it hasn't failed since.

Re: Windows Explorer Crash

Test your memory. Failing memory can cause many strange problems. And in my experience web browsers are real sensitive to bad memory (probably because they are memory hogs)

Re: Where can I buy legitimate copies of tv shows?

I'm a fan of The Muppet Show from the late 1970s. Only the first 3 seasons have been released on DVD (out of 5 seasons). And there are bits missing on the DVDs because they couldn't work out a deal for the rights to release everything on DVD. Another show that was really chopped when they released ...

Re: QT5 and MAKE instruction issues (Mint 21.3)

If you are getting not found when typing ./configure then you are in the wrong directory. You need to be in the directory makemkv-oss-1.17.6 to run ./configure But don't I think from reading your post that you actually followed the instructions. You run the tar command on downloaded tar.gz files and...

Re: Default selection rules issue

Instead of reporting it as a bug, ask for a new feature. Because according to the documents it is not a bug.

Re: Default selection rules issue

I've been using MakeMKV for years and can't remember when -sel:all unselected titles. The documentation clearly states it's for tracks, not titles. So maybe it was a bug that you were taking advantage of that was fixed. Personally I don't see it as a big deal as a simple right click and unselect all...

Re: Default selection rules issue

Maybe I'm mis-understanding the documents, but -sel:all says that it unselects all tracks. And it does just that.

It does not say that it unselects all titles

Re: Default selection rules issue

Why do you keep bumping this. -sel:all works on linux. It's probably something in your selection rules causing your problem. Did you try the rules I posted two years ago?
