Re: Speed Control Registry Key Missing
I'm not sure on Windows, but on Linux if start MakeMKV, open preferences and then close MakeMKV it creates the entry in the .MakeMKV.conf file. Maybe the same trick works to create the registry key?

Re: Getting MakeMKV Working with Guix
Normally MakeMKV saves the settings in $HOME/.MakeMKV/settings.conf
As a test, try creating that file with this line:
app_Key = "your_secret_key"
and see if it works. Or, just search your system for the .MakeMKV directory to find out where Guix thinks the users home is.

Re: IFO File Corrupt on Recorded DVD, and can't rip all titles
When opening my burned from DVD-Recorder disc, I'm getting a IFO corrupted error. Disc plays fine in VLC, and will rip everything for the 2nd title. However it only rips the video for the 1st title. Any ideas? If you recorded the disc yourself and didn't finalize it that could cause this error. You...

Re: Registration code on headless server
Hi all! I'm running MakeMKV on a headless Ubuntu server. I recently purchased a registration code and am having trouble entering it properly. I've created a file in /home/USER/.MakeMKV/settings.conf with contents app_Key="appkeyhere" and it doesn't seem to be responding as everytime I go ...

Re: UHD Drive won't read DVDs
I had this happen sometimes with my older LG drive in an enclosure. I never really worried about it as I just used the internal DVD drive when that happened. I later got a new PC and put the LG drive directly in the PC connected via SATA. DVD read problems went away! Later, I got a new ASUS UHD driv...

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League (USA Retail Version)
I tried taking a microfiber cloth to it in between drive swaps too. It may need a better cleaning than just a cloth. Some dish soap or alcohol. Sometimes when I have this problem a simple wipe with a cloth takes care of it. Personally I have found that eyeglass wipes (several times on occasion) wor...

Re: VLC Bluray playback with MakeMKV snap
It's the same. But the first build is the one where you have to install all of the dependencies, so it can be the difficult one to build. Once you've done it the first time, you now have everything you need to build new releases. So it's the same procedure minus installing dependencies.

Re: VLC Bluray playback with MakeMKV snap
I'm just trying to spend some effort now to avoid some later. Since the snap auto updates I only need to figure this out once instead of having to rebuild makemkv every time there's a release. Once you have built MakeMKV the first time, it's trivial to do it on a new release. It seems to me that th...

Re: VLC Bluray playback with MakeMKV snap
The idea of a snap is that it's a isolated package from the OS. So trying to integrate parts of the snap with VLC (not part of the snap) probably will not work well. I would suggest just installing/compiling MakeMKV systemwide. It's not that difficult if you are using Ubuntu or Mint (or another Ubun...

Re: Warning: MacTheRipper
Thanks for uploading the file. My disc set is also 12+1, and the I have the same ID (DVDL-6258300A1 1) on the rear of the disc, and the sample looks the same as mine. My file size for the first episode is only 498 MB, compared to your which is 562 MB. Do you have any ideas why the file size would b...

Re: Warning: MacTheRipper
How many discs are in your set? My set is 12 (3 per season) + 1 bonus disc. Season 1, Episode 1 is 561.7MB (of course it depends on what you ripped from the disc, so your size may be different). For your viewing pleasure, here's a link to the first 4 minutes of that episode: https://drive.google.com...
