Thank you. I tried searching for color bars, but that didn't bring up any of these threads.

I was ripping a TV show from a Blu-ray and the beginning of each episode contains a color bar test pattern for about 60 seconds. However playing the Blu-ray in a player doesn't show these bars.

Is there a reason this might happen?

Why would the folder backup not be the default?

I don't know if this is a bug in the most recent v1.17.2 for Windows or if I just happened to get two movies in a row with hundreds of duplicate titles on the disc. I use -q 18 on DVDs and -q 20 on Blu-rays.

DVDs compress by a factor of 2-3x, but Blu-rays have a much wider range, from "just about nothing" to 10x and more.

I have not found a Blu-ray that doesn't compress at 3:1 or better. Which titles are you seeing that do that?

I'm also looking for a UHD compatible, slimline, slot load drive. I found a couple external slimline drives like the Pioneer BDR-XS06T and BDR-XS07UHD, but I can't tell if those might could be disassembled and used in a regular laptop mount.

I think most of MakeMKV works properly on a High DPI display, but the buttons do shrink down pretty small. Can you fix those to also conform to the Windows scaling settings?

I changed the minimum size to 60 seconds before the original post, just in case, but it made no difference. However the behind the scenes clip is 8 minutes long so that should have shown up regardless. I also checked the full movie clip to see if extra things were tacked on, but it's definitely just...

The Mask of Zorro DVD has extra content like the trailer and making of featurette, but MakeMKV shows only a single entry for the movie. If I look in Windows file explorer there are definitely lots of files on the disc.

What is going on to prevent the rest of the content from showing?
