Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@shawnc22 Saving private Ryan I tried also yusesope tool and .ts profile 6 using the latest nightly tsmuxer. On the shield still the flicking problem as you said. The file does not play in Lg C8 via Plex/Emby. Just black screen. It plays flawlessly in Sony X700 via dlna from plex server including p...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Saving Private Ryan: Profile 5 (This one was made using DVDFab, this was before the current tools were available) This is an .mp4 with DTS-HD MA 7.1 muxed in. I would assume the same results using the current tools based off of the below. 2019 Shield - Plex App, flickering occurs like you are descr...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
STOP MUXING with tsMuxer 2.6.12 or 2020-04-19 Nightly ! With the versions you create a dvhe.06.06 which is absolute bullshit. Profile 6 does not exist and does not work anywhere! https://www.dolby.com/us/en/technologies/dolby-vision/dolby-vision-profiles-levels.pdf So far I have a few .ts files in ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Ehm, I've a sort of stupid question about DV profiles but I just would like to know if while using all the software (TSmuxeR, eac3to, ffmpeg, etc.) we can pick the one we want or not. So far I'm getting only as final product dvhe 06.06.

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
For those that are looking to make this work in the easiest way possible: 1) Rip to MKV with MakeMKV 2) eac3to titlename.mkv 2: titlename.thd+ac3 Note: titlename should be replaced with the actual name of the MKV 3) Add the MKV and the thd+ac3 track to TSMuxer 4) Remux to TS I've done this to a few...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The only caveat with this is I don't know if the old player has the same level of dolby vision support as the new exoplayer. I know DV gets triggered and all, but I've never tried doing any kind of picture quality comparisons. You can always get exoplayer to play at 24hz, though, by manually changi...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
No, you have to try turning it on to see if it helps with the hitchy playback. I did notice the intro title screen was having some slight stutters when using exoplayer with the matching frame option on (not working properly though when checked, avr still showed 4k:60hz). When I switched to the old ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
did you turn on frame rate matching in the plex settings? I've also noticed that frame rate matching sometimes doesnt work with the new exoplayer, and I eventually had to revert back to the old plex player to get it working. It was already off, I tried also with the old player but I still get such ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Edit: 1917 studders on the LG C8 but plays fine on the shield. (profile 6) Now if we can just get Nvidia to fix the color issues on the shield playing back Dolby Vision we might get somewhere :) Hi, yesterday I also tried 1917 on my Shield and IMHO playback still isn't smooth as I was expecting, I ...
