A Simple Favor (DVD)
I'm attempting to extract the correct Title from the "A Simple Favor" DVD. When I play it using Apple's DVD Player, it shows that Title 71 is what I want. When I open the disc in MakeMKV, I see "Title #71 was added (17 cell(s), 1:56:37)", but when I look at the lists of titles, n...

Re: A Simple Favor (US Retail)
Folks, I'm not quite a newbie, but certainly no expert either. I'm attempting to extract the correct Title from this DVD. When I play it using Apple's DVD Player, it shows that Title 71 is what I want. When I open the disc in MakeMKV, I see "Title #71 was added (17 cell(s), 1:56:37)", but ...

Re: Fantasia 2000
VLC is the same thing for me too, as it's taking me to the on-screen menu with selections:
If I go to the Playback menu, at the bottom is where I see the previous Title list that I submitted.- Mon Dec 17, 2018 8:33 pm

Re: Fantasia 2000
Using Cmd-D (Mac) to Open Disc in VLC, takes me straight to a Menu (Play, Bonus Material, Chapter Selection, and Set up). From there I can choose Play or any of the other options. In Apple's DVD Player, it auto-plays the first chapter. Titles as listed in VLC, under the Playback menu Screen Shot 201...

Fantasia 2000
Hi all, I'm trying to rip Fantasia 2000, so that I can add it to my Plex server. MakeMKV v1.41.2 sees several small video titles, but not the main movie. If I use the "Open File ..." menu in VLC, I see 2 different 1+ GB VOB files, that I can open and play. If I launch Apple's DVD Player, t...

Re: Which Video Track?
Apples DVD Player shows you which title it’s playing. Easier to see when it’s not in full screen mode, when the rectangular silver control panel (mimics an lcd screen) appears. You can click on Title to see the number then compare with the three that Makemkv shows. The only difference in the...

Which Video Track?
Hi there, I'm a long time MakeMKV & Handbrake user, and I'm great at using both of them when it comes to really easy, basic rips. However, if MakeMKV shows multiple tracks, as in the instance of Incredibles 2 that I just bought for my daughter, how do I determine the correct track to rip, and lo...

Segment Maps
Hi all, I've seen a lot of discussion recently about Segment Maps (on a thread about Deepwater Horizon); in particular finding and writing them in the correct order. I've never had a need to do any of this before, but am now curious about it. How does one go about finding a DVD's segment map (using ...

Free State of Jones - Read Error
I'm trying to convert the movie "Free State of Jones", and have run into the same error, no matter what I try. I've even washed the disc, and that hasn't helped. There is a tiny little chip on the edge of the DVD that could be causing this error. However, I am able to play the movie all th...
