That was my point, Apple depreciated and partly disabled some old communications functions.

As a developer myself; I have two thoughts.

First, this looks intentional beyond the obvious, I believe they are trying to get ahead of a firmware attack that is reported but not generally not yet covered and as far as I can tell not in the wild yet.

Second: this change has broken most but not ...

Apple doesn’t care. The software is flat out legal in the vast majority of the world. Generally legal in nearly everywhere else, and even quasi legal in the US.

Unfortunately, Beta 2 doesn't correct the issue.


Damn. I was just going to suggest everyone hang on a half hour while I updated.

Apple locked down a LOT of things in 15.4. I'm spending almost as much time in privacy and security settings as I am using apps for the moment.

Flip the disc over. Is it shiny silver or gold? Or is it blue, green, or some other colour?
Many low budget dvds are released on -/+ media now. They may not have closed the disc properly, or just the session but not the disc. Or used a VR mode and not done the index transfer required for playback ...
