Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Option to automatically rip when low on space
The upside to having plenty of space and/or an external drive is it allows one to make a decrypted backup of a disc with MakeMKV, then load the backup into MakeMKV and create .mkv files from the backup. The creation of .mkv files happens at the speed of the storage in this scenario. You can let the...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Option to automatically rip when low on space
Doesn't have to pause mid-file. If there's not enough space for the next file, it can just pause after finishing the last track there's enough room for. Yes, a larger drive would be ideal, and eventually that's the plan, just not currently. It's not as big a problem as it used to be since I did clea...

Audio Track Core Selection
Using the "(havemulti|core)" option in the default selection rule allows for selecting/deselecting the core for audio tracks, but since it doesn't differentiate between a TrueHD core and a DTS-HD MA core it only works for one or the other. This is because TrueHD does not contain the core, ...

[FEATURE REQUEST] Option to automatically rip when low on space
Oftentimes I'll get a message that there's not enough space for the rip, forcing me to delay the start of the rip until I can clear some, or to have to manually uncheck some tracks, rip what I can, then move files around and go back and rip the rest. This takes a lot more time, whether due to the ju...

[FEATURE REQUEST] Add option to always create directory
Every single time I do a rip, since I use the semi-auto directory creation, the directory doesn't exist and MakeMKV asks if I want to create it. It would be nice to be able to skip this extra step by having an option to just always create it.

Re: Using space bar to select
Sure, that can be done if that's the only one needed, but that's not always the case, and in fact, for many people (i.e. those interested in extras) is not even "normally" the case. And when it just happened to me, I didn't want the main movie, only the special features around a certain le...

Re: Using space bar to select
Just ran into this issue as well. Went through a disc and used the space bar to deselect all the items I didn't want to rip, then wondered why it took so long and why I got so many files. Turns out I had clicked the wrong column, so the space bar wasn't doing anything, and I didn't see this because ...

Re: Fatal error (crash) when canceling
Agree. Cancel should *always* mean cancel/abort, i.e. *immediately* stop. I realize this isn't always possible, but far too often software doesn't work this way, and it's definitely a pet peeve of mine. I rarely use the main function, instead preferring to make backups and work from those, but when ...

Request: Don't automatically add "backup" folder to backup path
When using the backup function, it always add a directory called "backup" after the path I set in preferences. I don't like using that, so every time I have to manually delete it. I'd prefer it just use the path I set, or to have a second setting for the backup path (since some people may ...

Fatal error (crash) when canceling
MakeMKV sometimes tends to become unresponsive and then crash when attempting to cancel a backup operation. I'm not sure exactly what causes it, i.e. why it happens some times and not others, but it does seem to happen more frequently when the operation is canceled right away, while still in the dec...

Re: Advanced Options - Selecting correct audio tracks
I'm not trying to deselect all but some titles. I'm saying I have to expand them all then go through and deselect all the extra audio tracks, since I only want the first one. I want all titles, so I can then go through them and decide what to keep.

Feature Request: Expand/Collapse all in right-click menu
When right-clicking on the head of the tree ("Blur-ray disc"), it would be very helpful to have an expand/collapse all option. This feature was requested ~5 years ago, and I definitely agree that it should be added. I see after reading that thread that they can be expanded with the * key, ...

Advanced Options - Selecting correct audio tracks
I'm trying to figure out how to use the advanced options to select only specific audio tracks. I've dug around a bit on the forums and elsewhere, and have it working slightly better, but still far from how I'd like it. For video, I want to select only the first track (which is always "selected&...
