I installed makeMKV 1.10.4, but when I launch it I get an error saying it's too old and I need to register or install the newest version.

What do I do? There's not even an option on the website to register.

www.makemkv.com doesn't use HTTPS, and checksums aren't provided for the installer downloads. I'm concerned that at some point the website might be compromised and a malicious, modified version of makeMKV will be dished out to users.

Oh whoa, I see. From what I read I was under the impression MakeMKV had a team of people and only one guy handling support and such.

I just find it odd that such a popular program only has one guy moderating the forum and answering support emails, in his spare time.

www.makemkv.com doesn't offer https, and that worries me when downloading software. Providing checksums for the installer would let me be absolutely sure I'm getting the original file.
