I have VLC and use it as my default media player on my PC. So I ripped the DVD "Strange Brew" Played the mkv on VLC and opened up Codec info. Type: Audio Codec: A52 Audio (aka AC3) (a52) Language: English Channels: Mono Sample Rate: 48000 Hz Bitrate: 192 kb/s It too says Mono, as expected....

Sorry, I mean rip, not burn. I just save the mvk and dump it on my NAS. I usually cherry pick the audio formats. I simply choose the the highest one available to me. I un-check Spanish, French, etc. I un-check the subtitles. What I'm saying is the format on the DVD's (IE: DD Stereo English) is not a...

So I got MKV maker for blu-rays, but I have DVD's that need love too. After ripping a few, I noticed a weird thing.
