That's very possible as the drive it fresh off amazon. Maybe it was pre-loaded with a newer AACS version. Guess I'll reinstall my old drive and use it for lower AACS version discs until the next MakeMKV update. Is there a way to check the AACS version on the drive?

I have also had a difficult time ripping blu rays recently. It started out with "Gods of Egypt" which my computer wouldn't even recognize. I tried 3 copies of that disc before replacing my drive. I also updated to v1.10.1 about the same time. I've noticed that now it seems to take forever ...

I replaced my drive with an LG WH16NS40. In my case the drive was the issue and I am now able to rip God of Egypt without issues, plus it was twice as fast as my old drive.

I am having the same problem with the "Gods of Egypt" bluray. I've tried 3 different copies of the disc but my computer doesn't seem to recognize any of them and MakeMKV says there is no disc in the drive. I have continued to rip other blurays without issues. I can only guess that it's som...
