Re: The Abyss 4K
Thanks for the information regarding AV Sync. It didn't seem to be too bad and mostly in stream 5(?) but also had the Scsi errors mixed in. I'm not sure when one save vs the other failed but maybe I'll go ahead and watch it tonight. It wasn't as as my copy of The Witness. That spewed them non stop s...

Re: The Abyss 4K
Received my disc yesterday. Ultimate collector edition(?). Anyway the first file, theatrical version, completed but had several AV sync issues in stream errors. Because of this I did not try to play it yet. Second file, extended or special, failed. In this case a lot of Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR L-E...

Re: Witness 4K Timecode Issues?
I understand this is an older thread but I recently purchased this disc and seeing the issue. The disc release date is March 19, 2024 so it lead me to believe it is a new release of the media. The backup worked fine. Making a makemkv file for Plex the timecode or sync issues run amuck. Are the only ...

The Expendables 4
Hi. I emailed the AACS dump file (tgz). I don't recall sending one in before so hopefully that is the only thing needed. Let me know if there was more although I'm sure others have already sent the correct file.

Re: Equalizer 3
Thank you both. I've not had a chance to watch it yet so this helps. Usually when a disc arrives the first day it isn't able to be viewed until someone gets a file sent in. So when it opened I was a bit surprised.
Thanks again and have a good day.

Equalizer 3
Good morning. Quick question on The Equalizer 3. I wasn't expecting it to read the disc since it was a new release but it found three titles. Is there a way to determine which is the correct one to view? This is the normal 4k Blu Ray disc purchased via retail. I did a search on the run-time at it re...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
This is the only way I can get Dolby Vision to work in my setup. Sony 950H->Native Plex App->non-HD audio->Dolby Vision works Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro->Plex App->Any audio HD included->Dolby Vision works Both Sony and Shield are hard wired with the content coming off a Linux server with NAS storage (Z...

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League 4K UHD (UK)
I don't know the frames but I have been looking at how to merge the two discs together. My copy came today and so far it has backed up great. I was going to move it over to the Plex server and run a quick test because it is supposed to automatically play the second disc if named properly. Of course ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.3
Thanks. I think that is what I didn't know. DV FEL vs MEL. I will go read the threads you listed. Appreciate it. So far the Sony 950H plex app will play the LoTR movies after I change audio from True HD. The picture quality is amazing and I'm glad I spent the time redoing all of my DV titles. Howeve...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.3
In layman’s terms is there something that "I" didn't do while backing up and making a mkv file of the two Dolby Vision discs below? Lord of the Rings is the only DV disc makemkv file that works for me using the Plex client on the Sony 950h. All other backups / makemkv files fail and I used...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.3
Is there any recommended debugging steps or thoughts on why one disc/rip would work with Dolby Vision and another one would not? Both having support of Dolby Vision and makemkv 1.15.3 used? Plex / Nas server is on Ubuntu. I have a Sony 950H. Yamaha av-677 receiver. Nvidia Shield Pro, Comcast Box X1,...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)
Finishing up ripping the extended versions. The - part1, - part2 tag for Plex doesn't seem to work right now for me, only sees part 1, figuring that out but my main issue is bandwidth. Player is plex via 2019 Shield wired, server is Qnap Plex NAS over dual 1Gb Aggregated NICs (I know this doesn't d...

Ha, I found it. Love this forum.
Just did a search after reading through this thread and on the Windows version it was suggested to use the 'tree' view. There it is now

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Thanks. I thought that might be it but wasn't sure. I only have 17 movies it looks like that have dolby vision support so not too bad but if I can save 12 - 17 hours of work that is always great :) Let me see why my Ubuntu didn't update or pull the latest version of mediainfo so I can check. Thanks ...
