After many attempts to solve the problem. I gave up and bought a new caddy. I can confirm that the following one:

Re: Drive revoked?
Further testing has has shown:
I've managed to get the drive to work with VLC.
The drive works on an older version of Ubuntu(12.04 LTS).
A borrowed USB blu ray drive works on Ubuntu 16.04.
I'm not sure if that helps any.

Re: Drive revoked?
Yes, the drive works fine on a Windows machine.
I have run so in theory it should have all possible permissions? What should I be looking at to solve this issue.
Thanks Mat.
I have run
Code: Select all
sudo makemkv
Thanks Mat.

I question if the drive is revoked as I can rip blurays with it on a windows system. The drive is not mounted. Any suggestions? MakeMKV v1....

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc
I have had a look at this tonight. Ubuntu is mounting the disk, I then unmount it and still get the same problem. The disk still appears in my launcher. How do I ensure that Ubuntu does not have it open?
Thanks Mat.

Is there anything I need to install into a fresh install of Ubuntu so ripping will work. Logs Below. The Bluray drive is connected over USB, if that make any ...
