MakeMKV can't work on my macOS High Sierra, so I want to try Pavtube, which claims that it is the best MakeMKV alternative.

Just installed the latest version of macOS and tried again. The external optical drive is still not visible in Finder or Disc Utility but it is seen by MakeMKV. It starts to run when a disk is loaded returning the message 'Disc is being loaded' but after a few seconds this changes to 'No disc inser...

Last year, when I firstly upgraded to El Capitan, both my MakeMKV and Handbrake were out of work. I had to turn to a cheaper software called ByteCopy, supporting new 10.11 system. MakeMKV 1.10.0 version supports AACS up to v60 and I have used it to decrypt Blu-ray Spectre 007. But I think the quality is really a little bit lower than another software called ByteCopy. And MakeMKV didn't decrypt my Revenant disc then I have to turn to Bytecopy cause it claims to support mkb v61.

The Blu-ray is harder and harder to rip. The new released Blu-ray like 4K Blu-ray usually has more complex protection scheme like new mechanism MKB61. For all I know, MakeMKV supports Blu-ray AACS, BD+ up to v60. Only a cheap Chinese software from Pavtube has upgraded to support MKB61. You can searc...
