Re: What is current key?
It can be used as a ripping software but in my eyes paypal gets more bad every day. Just because I dont own a creditcard I cant buy certain things over paypal and now I had to buy makemkv by wiretransfer with a plus of 20euros expenses. Its not makemkv's fault and I agree totaly with blufred as I d...

Re: Default folder to save MKV in?
Thanks for the info. I was wondering also where / how to set the output file, as it had to be selected each time I use MAKEMKV

Re: Fabulous Audio Blu Ray
Some it can't through the optical connection. Especially 7.1 sound. Not interested in 7.1 sound. I'm going to guess that you are not using an HDMI connection to the amp, just an optical connection. At most that means you will only get DTS5.1 and DolbyDigital5.1. I know that AAC can also be passed o...

Fabulous Audio Blu Ray
When I rip a Blu Ray, how do I know what audio I am going to copy? Do all Blu Rays have some sort of surround? It seems mostly hit-and-miss for me. I have a nice fairly new Sony surround amp. It can decode a lot of schemes. Some it can't through the optical connection. Especially 7.1 sound. Not inte...

Thank you very much.Woodstock wrote:Closed captioning is part of the video track. If you want to get rid of it, recoding the video through handbrake will do it... because right now handbrake can't pass the CC through.

Closed Captioning
Hello
I'm new here in Make MKV. I find that it is a little annoying to rip a DVD or Blu Ray and the closed captioning is showing the dialogue. I have to run the MKV file through another ripper to get rid of closed captioning.
Any tricks or ideas?
Thanks

Re: New user: pre-purchase questions
Slysoft was closed down and became Redfox. The last version of Slysoft's Anydvd was 7.6.9.5 and it will no longer access the OPD. If you wish to continue using the program you have to buy a new license. That version will still work with older movies but not reliable, without OPD, for new releases. ...

Re: New user: pre-purchase questions
Thanks for your response. Shouldn't AnyDVD HD be circumventing the BD+ protection anyway? As far as I'm aware, this is part of the basic functionality of the software and considering it's what I used to rip the BDMV folder that I then put through makeMKV I would have thought that it wouldn't be a f...

Re: What is current key?
The current key is where it always is... "How to buy" is a link not found on the website, despite numerous requests to Mike to add it. In Help, there is a "Purchase" option, which will load the page http://makemkv.com/buy/ with information. As for the "too much personal inf...
