Re: Download fail for 1.18.3 bin file on linux
Both, bin and oss works fine on pure, real Debian.
Open Terminal and try with wget:
wget https://www.makemkv.com/download/makemk ... 8.3.tar.gz && wget https://www.makemkv.com/download/makemk ... 8.3.tar.gz

Re: MakeMKV can't read disks anymore and behaves weird
Backup your ./MakeMKV just in case and then delete the .MakeMKV derectory from you /home.
Open MakeMKV to see if that help.
"I also read, that MakeMKV isn't using the ~/.config/aacs database. Is that true?"
I think that AACS file (KEYDB.cfg) should be in .MakeMKV directory.

Re: I'll make you a deal
It looks like it is broken specifically when using Pioneer drives - and maybe only broken when using drives where the LibreDrive status is "Possible, not yet enabled". In that case, MakeMKV is supposed to generate a firmware dump that you can email to support so they can add LibreDrive su...

Re: MakeMKV not working under Debian Trixie
Maybe Leslie has no permission to write that "RAID/Server-Main..." drive? Sounds to me that only root have permission to write on that drive. You should first run older version to get firmware file. Bug in MakeMKV. You could compile that older version first or be lazy like me and just run ...

Re: Debian Trixie: Error with /configure
You need to extract also those tar files. Downloading with Firefox, the files are double compressed. (tar.gz and inside of that is .tar)
Some kind of bug in Firefox.

Gddrescue should read much faster if disc and drive are ok. And i don't se any read errors, bad-sector or bad areas on your post. Here is output post from disc with no copy protect. Press Ctrl-C to interrupt ipos: 399704 kB, non-trimmed: 0 B, current rate: 7733 kB/s opos: 399704 kB, non-scraped: 0 B...

Re: "forever" mode with no messages
You can try to make iso image with gddrescue. sudo apt install gddrescue Next you can run lsblk to find your drive. Normaly it is /dev/sr0 To make iso image from disc: ddrescue /dev/sr0 dvd.iso dvd.log -b 2048 -n -v If dvd is copy protect, then you need also libdvd-pkg and lsdvd packages to open pro...
