Re: Can't rip blu-ray DVD's 24 hours after paying for the key.
You can always install official and supported MakeMKV from here: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=224 and then add your key from GUI or from terminal. There is something about keys: https://github.com/jlesage/docker-makemkv#troubleshooting "MakeMKV registration key to use...

Re: MakeMKV just won't work.
I have found a way to get the latest version (1.18.3) working. Edit .MakeMKV/settings.conf and add your drives name to "sdf_Stop", In my case it looks like this: sdf_Stop = "TEAC_BD-W26SS-B_2.02_{serial number}" With that, the original functionality returns. I tested this and it...

Re: Should I watch for updates even though I have a paid license?
No need. If that version of yours works fine, use that.
But if you want to upgrade and something is not working right, you can always downgrade to older working version and use same paid key.

Re: Beta key not working - v1.18.3 Linux
Maybe there is space or something on your copy/paste? Open Terminal and add the key from there. This adds the Key to the .MakeMKV/settings.conf file, on your home directory. echo 'app_Key = "T-URt6MHxNy3HmfVojU8pE05WQ6HfgVI8S@HiIeNcWFim9rBgNlOdLFROSATCsWikcKW"' >> ~/.MakeMKV/settings.conf
