I would recommend you to use VLC or MPV for playback, I tested with a sample that exhibited this on windows player and it was gone.

I tried to open the Akira (Dybex release) bluray disc and it won't decrypt it : it locked to the same error message. And I tried several times always the same thing. By the way I have a TSSTcorp SE-506BB and I look on the Internet and I think it's quite common, with this drive or another TSST But at...

Glad you come up this a solution but could you tried this just to see :

1. Open MakeMKV.
2. Put the disc in the drive.
3. Click on Backup, put the directory and uncheck "Decrypt video files".
4. It would read.
5. Open the Backup with MakeMKV and hopefully it would work.

Retry to backup with the backup option and uncheck "Decrypt video files".
