I had the same issues with my copy of 'Cosmos - A Spacetime Odyssey' with my LG drive. Updating the drive's firmware solved the problems for me :D That's great news. However, LG doesn't support Mac, so now I have to find someone with a Windows computer (!!!!! --- who has those any more around here?...
